Do they have this in Fl I was down there all week and never saw it, I asked about it and got a stunned look in response. Is this only a Northern thing? And adding ice to hot coffee doesnt count it needs to be brewed strong so the ice doesnt dilute the flavor.

LOL! I swear when I was 16, I worked at Shoney's as a waitress and the first time someone asked me for this I did not know what they were talking about. I had to ask another (older) waitress and she said it was something that Yankees (her term ;) ) liked and to just put ice in their coffee. Why do ya'll do this? Doesn't it defeat the purpose of coffee? (please note that no offense is intended!)

Iced coffee is soooo good in the summer! I get iced coffee from the coffee shop almost every afternoon. Iced coffee and cappuccino ice cream... yummy!

Starbucks sells it here. I don't know if it's a regional thing or what though!

Iced Coffee is SUCH a phenomenon around here, many of our Dunkin Donuts brew it and make it available all year round.

I 'need' my cup of hot coffee everymorning, but on a hot summer's afternoon, there is NOTHING quite as good as a medium ice coffee with milk and sugar

Coffee should only be served hot. My brother likes some kind of caramel iced coffee Panera Bread has, but I'm too skeptical to try it. I don't even like coffee flavored ice cream.:eek:

Have you ever tried Vietnamese Iced Coffee? You can also get it at Thai restaurants. My husband loves it and drinks it almost everyday. You get a certain type of chickory coffee and add in condensed milk to the mug while the hot water drips slowly. You then add ice to it.

I don't understand the concept of iced coffee. I prefer my coffee hot :)

::yes:: ::yes:: ::yes::

Dunkin' Donuts does it. And there is Starbucks...LOL! They do everything.

But if it's a hot day and you're thirsty, but sweaty, how can you drink hot coffee? Unless you'd just have iced water or soda instead, under those circumstances...

Dunkin Donuts makes an Iced Mocha Latte that is DELICIOUS!!!

But then again, I normally dislike coffee, and won't drink it hot - I only like those iced, flavored coffe drinks - all my die-hard java-junkie friends tease me.

I can't stand hot coffee, but I'll take a nice iced coffee any day of the week....yummy ::yes::

I just had a iced coffee yesterday at Dunkin Donuts. I'm not even a coffee person. Give me my tea any day and every day. It was ok, but needed to be sweeter, so I didn't finish it. I should have gotten the coffee coolatta :teeth:.

I love Iced Coffee. I will take the loeftover coffee from the morning and put in the fridge. Then when its hot in the afternoon, just add a few cubes some milk and sugar and its just delish. My DH on the other hand thinks I'm nuts, he will only drink his coffee hot and his tea cold. I on the other hand will drink both hot or cold.

Deanna:cool:
