I loved Beauty's thread . . .but I was also wondering how everyone decorates the outside of their home?
We use only white lights on the outside bushes and icicles on the peaks . . . we have lighted deer and santa's sleigh, and a lighted angel . . .
We live on a corner and our house is the first thing you see when you turn up the street . . .DH spends hours making it look "magical" and I'm sure the UI company loves me for it
I won't even tell you how many lights light up the outside of my home . . .

We have icicle lights, plus lots of colored musical lights on the bushes and trees. He has made many Christmas wooden cut-outs (painted.) In our center yard Bambi and Thumper are sliding around on ice and into a snowdrift.
(My favorite part!) On the side yard we have a life-size nativity scene. Around the house there is Santa with his reindeer (including Rudolph), an elf-house, a Christmas tree cut-out, and a snowman. We also have fake snow covering the grass, because we don't get any real snow. It sounds cluttered, now that I type it all out, but the cut-outs are not gaudy, they are really cute, and it all works together, somehow.
