What are some of the things you enjoy most about WDW that aren't necessarily ride specific?

I always enjoy sitting in Tomorrowland watching the activity and listening to the music.

I also like to wander in Future World and listen to the music. It is so "Epcot."

I love the Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe in Liberty Square. I know there are other Christmas shops, but I really like this one, even if it's just to look around.

MGM at night. :smickey: There is something about being there with TOT and the "hat" that I think looks so neat.

It took several trips before we slowed down and started enjoying many of the "extras" of WDW. Now, I look forward to just sitting! :)

So, what are some of your favorites? I might have to add some new ones to my list! :goodvibes

We really enjoy the World Showcase Players - especially the one with the Holy Grail -- Grail, Grail, Grail, Unh!

The Cookie Smell On Main Street Outside The Bakery, The Music As You Enter Magic Kingdom, The First Sight Of The Castle Walking Down Main Street, The Look Of The Fireworks Above The Castle At Night Which Reminds Me Of Wonderful World Of Disney When I Was A Kid

Cappacino (sp?) from the cafe next to the musical fountains and sitting outside and watching them. That is my "happy place". :goodvibes

Jamie Holton
Mark Weldon
Tony Escapa III
Randy Holbrook
Scotty Zymowski

Seeing our favorite characters
Walking around The Boardwalk at night
Strolling World Showcase taking pictures
Resort hopping

I LOVE the street performers at MGM. I often stop to watch them and always get a laugh.

I love to get a spot near a character greeting place and watch everyone interact with the characters....especially the kids, but the best is when you see an adult go up to a character and get totally transformed INTO a kid!

I love shopping in the Art of Disney stores at Epcot, MGM and MK, SUCH cool stuff! - I also love watching the glassmakers at Arriba Brothers on Main Street

I love the anticipation of sitting in the Rose Garden waiting for Wishes to start.

I LOVE walking around Epcot looking at all the beautiful flowers and
topiaries. (of course this is only during the F&G Festival, but that is when I usually go...because I love it! :rotfl: )

Enjoying a bowl of fruit and croissant from the Main Street bakery just after park opening as I listen to MS music and am decadently unconcerned about what I will be riding early

Playing in the pool at the resort -any resort

Walking thru the gates aand down Hollywood Blvd at MGM

Perusing the amazing stuff at World of Disney

I also love MGM at night! theres something about the upbeat music and all the "hollywood" lighting that makes it special. This by far is my favorite park to be at when night falls. (besides seeing wishes and spectro at magic kingdom.)

I also love the bus system. there are many times that ive been alone (or just my family) and the only one(s) on the bus. And the busdrivers are so friendly and often times looked over. On my past trip i was the only one on the bus and the woman driver and i got to talking about how wonderful it was that i was there solo and she told me a whole bunch of disney trivia. It was so awesome. I stayed on the bus longer than i planed because i had such a wonderful time talking with her. i wish i had gotten her name and a picture. :confused3 . I guess this goes along with cast members but i just wanted to share my experience that i had. If you are ever the only ones on the bus start talking to the driver it makes there day and they know tons of disney knowledge!

i love after a long day, heading back to my resort and filling my refillable mug with pink lemonade. it just makes a nice finish to the day

i love looking at all the pins! there are so many great ones!

i love sitting in the benches behind france. it is so quiet back there. :cloud9:

shopping at the emporium and then getting a treat at the confectionary!

Aaaah....... Let's see:

I love first setting on MainStreet USA- the tears come rolling down every time.
I love seeing my family having such a wonderful time.
I love going on Splash Mountain first before anyrides at MK
I love the awesome job that the bus drivers do in transporting us all around..

And most of all I love relaxing by the pool late at night enjoying a nice strawberry daiquiri- thinking of the fun times the next day will lead into.

Hey neighbor I noticed you are going a day before us- where are you staying? My family of 4 is staying at AS Sports- can't wait!!!!!!!!!!

1. Street performers at MGM - I love the "tourists" especially! I always make a point of talking to them and asking if they want me to take their picture!

2. I love walking down Main Street first thing in the morning and seeing "The Trolley Show" (don't know the official Disney name, that just what we call it). I don't know how many times I've seen it, but I always stop to watch.

3. DH at WDW. He reminds me of himself about 12 years ago when we met, and he was very young and totally carefree!

1. dancing fountain at Epcot
2. christmas store at DTD
3. magnet store at DTD
4. watching folks come down drop at Splash
5. watching little kids in the fountains

The fountain in Epcot's Future World that shoots off to the music

Off Kilter

Barbershop Quartet on Main St.

Driving through the big entrance gate upon arrival to WDW

Canada's garden

Having a crepe in France at the little tables

Walking the World Showcase after the Illuminations crowd exits

Palm trees and lizards (not exclusive to WDW, but still...)

These are all great! :) Some of them I have experienced, but I had forgotten, others I will have to try at our next visit. I am definately going to have to spend more time in WS and just hanging out at MGM to watch the street performers. :goodvibes

Dan-Thanks for the pictures! This is a perfect example of how something "small" makes for a complete experience at WDW. It is what makes disney magical. pixiedust:

Walking from the bus drop off to EPCOT/into EPCOT and hearing the EPCOT music.

The "sparkling sidewalks" in EPCOT after Illuminations and seeing all the different Good Nights on Spaceship Earth.

Looking up and seeing the castle for the first time each trip--I cry, too.

Hearing the Magic Kingdom music.

Mickey head ice creams and rice krispies.

Just knowing we are at WDW without a care in the world.
