I paid $100 for a pair of boots many, many years ago. Shoes- I think the most I have paid was $60 for a good pair of walking/running shoes.

I would guess $100 for both shoes or sneakers. DH has paid closer to $150.

I do have a pair of Jimmy Choo's I got for 475$. I have big feet - I'm a size 11 so when it comes to shoes for my size the selection is limited so when I saw these and saw that they actually had my size I couldn't resist. They also my me look and feel sexy. When I slip them on I feel like diva and my whole attitude changes; I'm no longer the frompy mom in her Lands End shoes, Target top and on sale Lane Bryant jeans. I'm this mysterious, exciting and worldly woman. I love 'em and so does my husband ;)

That would be a pair of suede heels when I was in college - $200 - but they lasted a long, long time.

We recently went into a very fancy shoe store and I tried on a pair of Christian Louboutin's in the "sale" room. The original prices was $650 and they were 1/2 off but I still could not justify it. They were gorgeous, though, and made me understand why so many celebrities wear them - they were 4 inch heels and felt like slippers on my feet!

I have foot issues, and have come to the painful decision that I am going to have to pay top dollar if I want to be able to walk. So far $200 mephisto sandals have topped the list, but most of my shoes cost at least $70 -$100 dollars. That is why I currently only have 3 pair!!! I would ove to be able to buy cute, inexpensive shoes!

I know what you mean, well, through my DMIL. She has bad foot issues and the only shoes she feels comfortable in are Think! brand. They're about $200 at the mall, less on-line. She can't just walk into Sketcher's or Target and get a cute pair of shoes.

Don't worry about not having 50 pairs of cute shoes - be kind to your feet!

I think it would be $250 MBTs when they first came out still have and wear them. I have spent as much as $130 on shoes for DD11, and DH has some dress shoes that were over $300. I would rather have basic classics that will last so I am willing to pay more for those so I have some $100ish ones, trendy shoes no more than $40.

I've spent $100 a few times on most of my boots (I have 2 pairs of tall UGG's that I bought used in great condition off of Ebay for about $70-$80 each). But I'd say 90% of my shoes (like for work and stuff) I get for around $40-$50. I have two pairs of Kenneth Cole ballet flats that I got off of overstock.com years ago (for $40 each) that I wear just about every day and they still look brand new. But really I only have maybe 20 pairs of shoes total (if that).

Oh, and I spend about $80-$100 on sneakers once a year as I run a lot and shoes mean everything (especially to my knees, ankles, and back ;) ).

I belive in spending money on quality shoes. I love Cole Hann and found an absoulutley gorgeous pair of Isabelle Fiore sandals at Saks for 75%. I also have some alligator pumps of my Mom's from the 1960's ad some of her gorgeous evening sandals. Avg price of my shoes $100-$300

After years of buying cute inexpensive shoes and loving them, my feet have now decided that they should only be clad in expensive shoes! I have several pairs of cheap shoes that I can no longer wear because they hurt my feet terribly. I should really donate them since I can't wear them, but I haven't been able part with them. I'm down to wearing the same 4 pairs of pricier shoes (all bought on sale) Black or tan wedges, black or brown sandals.

Most expensive pair of shoes was a gorgeous pair of black leather pumps for work that I bought for about $150. That was about 14 years ago, so that seemed like a king's ransom back them. Well worth every cent though, I wore those shoes almost daily for years. Then my foot grew with my last pregnancy and I passed the shoes along to someone who wore them for a few more years!

My most ever was $110 for a pair of strappy heels. They were a gift from DH after he had a good run at poker in Vegas a few years ago. Mama really did need a new pair of shoes!

In my day-to-day life I wear Crocs everywhere, and I pay $30-$40 per pair of those. Most comfortable shoes ever!

Shoes I guess I never really thougth about, but must be under $100 as I do not remember ever buying anything that sent me into sticker shock! I also do not remember ever taking an odd job to pay for a pair of shoes, so anything I have must have been in the reality budget!

Maybe $40 for a pair of tennis shoes? I love shoes, but I tend to wear flip flops all of the time, so they're pretty cheap.

129.99 for a pair of Nike Air Max. I loved this running shoe, and bought a new pair every 4-6 mths til the kids came along. Now my running shoes come from the outlets, in the 50-60 dollar range.

$120 for my Birks (more than once) and $126 for my Naot sandals.

But I wear my birks from April till late October, and they last me 5-6 years each.

I am able to get Birkis for $10 through my employer's sample sale. I also got Rockports for that price. I picked up the Birkis in Oct., so I haven't worn them yet, but they look nice.

Anyway, I paid $60+shipping each for my two pairs of camo Uggs, which I love. So, I'm pretty sure those are the most expensive shoes I have ever bought. Overall, I'm fairly thifty, though, and search out the best deal before I buy something.

I run a lot, a lot, a lot. I have 5 pair of running shoes that I alternate out and use for short and long runs. Each pair costs at least $100 at the outlet store. Sorry, but I have no arches and when I'm running 8 or 10 miles, I need support. I buy a new pair every month or two and rotate them in.

I also, until this year, took latin dance lessons with hubby, so I had to have 2 pair of dance shoes that were probably $150 each. But, I too pretty much live in flipflops otherwise. Even in the winter if I can get away with it.

I pay $750 per pair for custom made Mary Janes. Obviously, I have foot problems and these shoes save me from infections and the possiblity of amputation.

They are beautiful shoes with the finest leather and custom sewn by hand. The shoe is literally made around the form of my foot. The inside of the shoes are already conformed to the contours of my foot. Surprisingly, I am the only client of this shoemaker with a disability! Some of his shoes are so beautiful. He makes the matching pocketbooks but you don't want to know those prices.

I'm currently saving for a pair of custom boots at $1200.
