Pete used that phrase long before the recent alligator incident. Not sure when it was first in use, the podcast has been around a long time.

Brain eating amebas, plus the water moccasins and gators

Pete retired it after the child was killed, but it returned because in spite of the best efforts of WDW, the stupidity of people is too powerful for signs and fences.
