Ok everyone? Can I get some feedback? Is it really that better inside? I think it would be nice to eat outside, our PS request is for 8:30pm.(haven't heard what actual time is yet)

Thanks a million!:tinker:

We've sat inside & outside. We prefer outside. We like the atmosphere. We enjoy being by the water and watching California Screamin', Mickey's Fun Wheel, etc. It's a great view in our opinion.

If it's summer time outside at that time would be nice, especially if WOC will be happening!

When are you visiting? It's cool in the evenings, and right now, around 8:30 is downright chilly. In the summer, it's pretty mild and lovely, so a light sweater would cover it.

I made a resi and was given an exact time of 4:50pm for inside seating. We had choices of 4:40, 4:50, 5:10 and 5:20. Is the reserved time not guaranteed?

Do you have to specify when you make the reservation? I didn't; maybe I should call back? I HATE eating outside.

I was going to ask what time of year as well. 8:30 p.m. can be chilly many evenings, even in the early summer. Be prepared and bring a light jacket/sweater just in case in the summer. If it's anytime between now and June, and Oct on, I would sit inside. :goodvibes

It's not so much the coldness, as the damp, BTW. Unlike WDW where it really doesn't cool off that much at night, here in So. Cal. the temp can drop 30 or so degrees once the sun goes down on most days when it's hot. So if they day is a high of 90 it's not to unreasonable to see lows in the 60's at night. One of the reasons I love it here-it almost always cools down at night!

We were asked if we wanted outside or inside. Chose inside. We also informed the CM that it will be our DD's 5th birthday, so we ordered a bday cake and whatever else comes with it (I think it was a jewelry box, but I could be wrong). The fee for cake and extras is $15.99.

I called Disney Dining for Goofy's Kitchen, and they told me about the $15 for the cupcake in the princess or pirate box at Character meals (Including Ariels), but that you can also add on balloons for an additional $1.50 each. I got balloons for my mom's 50th birthday party for when we go next month. It makes the birthday dinner extra special. I figured even though I am the youngest person there at 27, even a 50 year old can have balloons, and then if she doesnt want them at the end then we can make a few very special kids extra happy.

As for Ariels we really like eating outside. Depending on what time of day you go, and the time of year, its really nice to have that fresh air, and I dont feel as cramped.

I appreciate all the input. I think my dd3 is young enough to not care about the princess intro. We kind of have a thing for being on the water, any type and we will be there at the end of June so I am not too worried about the weather.

The Pollyanna in me is hoping the vacation planner will email me back saying the WOC view will be spectacular while eating a late dinner outside...we'll see.

I called for a reservation a few days ago and got a reservation and I said there wasn't anything else I needed and right before hanging up I remembered and asked something like, "Is that inside or outside?" She told me that it was inside, which was just what I wanted so we were good. So I think your reservation in the computer states where you will be eating. I would call to confirm.

My reservation is for 6 PM in June...in retrospect it might have been nice to be outside, but oh well; it's done. ;) I don't like the heat and you just don't KNOW; the weather could be ridiculously warm and my party might need/prefer the air conditioning. (We got an outside lunch reservation at what was then Wine Country Trattoria last year and the heat made me and my friend just miserable, even though it was a fine, sunny day.)

I think you should definitely be outside because if things work out timing wise you have a good chance of seeing World of Color. Your resv is at 830 pm and there could possibly be a 9 pm show???... I would definitely ask for outside and maybe even call back to ask about WOC seating...
