Are biting insects a problem in mid June?

Thanks!

Anytime there is standing water, rain or the humidity level is up they can be a problem especially in wooded or grassy areas, sometimes puddles will attract the little biters. I'd recommend spraying some Cutter type spray on the legs before heading out at night. The buggies are usually at their worst between April and October.

Thank you I thought that might be the case but just thought I'd ask before packing the insect repellent!:wave2:

Just an FYI, on another board there was someone quite upset about the fact that they were bitten by some fairly large flying bugs. Sounded like they were either Horse Flies or Yellow Flies. Either way they have a very nasty bite, and if not cared for can cause infection. From what I understand they were staying at AKL, which would explain the Horse Flies. Anyway, just wanted you to know.
