Hubby and I will be going to Orlando sans kids in November. We've never spent time at Innoventions in EPCOT because the kids always want to do rides etc. Is Innoventions worth a look? What do you find really interesting? Any recommendations?

I like it if I have some time. Frankly, I would rather spend the spare time at World Showcase or the Living Seas but its OK. The best part is probably the area where you can taste soft drinks from around the world. Some of them are pretty disgusting.

My kids LOVE this area...me not so much. If I were going without the kids I might wander through for the air conditiong but I would not plan to actually spend any time there. Just my opinion!
I think it can be a nice, air conditioned, low-key, diversion. It's usually not too crowded so I can let DDS2 out of the stroller. He can play on the computer and I like to send my dad an electronic postcard from WDW when I go!
We didn't enjoy it much at all. The main reason we went in Innoventions was for the character meet n greet for the Disney visa. Right beside Club Cool, We also saw a lot of characters the kids could get autographs. I don't think that is Innoventions though. I think it is called character central or something like that. Someone else probally knows the correct name.
If you got time to slow down and cool off, and decide to not worry about the rides for a bit, innovations can be fun. There are 2 sides, and I find the east side more interesting. They have a area about recycling plastic, where you build a robot and race it on a video sceen, and after you can build a real plastic robot and take it home. There's also a demostration of the house of the future, where they demostrate a lot of cool products already out. There's other areas where you can play video games. The west side (side club cool is on) is similar, but I'd try the east side first. The innovations is fun, just not a major attraction.
