Sorry to ask such a silly questions but, were the revolving zones (sports, entertainment, information etc...) behind the exhibits on the first floor before the House of the Future renovation? Also, there was apparently a Bugs Life exhibit on the second floor, does anyone have any more information on this?

Welcome to the DISBoards!

I don't remember the first that you mentioned, but I DO remember the fireworks one. It was fun.

Computer-generated. Add fireworks from selection available. Add music from choices. Run "your" fireworks show. Cute. Fun.

Neither of those are there any longer.

Speaking of.....

I'm guessing Innoventions will be great for my 10 year old inventor son, but not so fun for the 5 year old girl and 2 year old boy? Have I got that right?

Oh I think your 5 year old girl will find lots of fun things in there. The 2 year old might just have fun running around! LOL

Seriously though there is a lot in there that your little girl will enjoy, even if it's just sitting and playing with the fun surface tables in there.

Honestly, Innoventions is now a ghost town, aside from the home of the future and Asimo, there isn't much left in there. I think they would be best served to close it down and put something else in there.

When we went in March, as you entered Innoventions there was a display that was essentially an advertisement for Honda. They had a car on display that was a hybrid. A lady CM had a spiel about it that was about 5 minutes long. We did have to stay and listen, because during the spiel the platform was rotating to the entry to the House of Tomorrow. Once we entered the House of Tomorrow, we had a peek around. Ask the CM to read the Peter Pan story in the kids room. It had some neat special effects. My mom tried out the Playstation Kinect. Upstairs, there were lots of video games and interactive computer stations, but it was kind of boring. We skipped the ASIMO show because we wanted to go on more rides.

For the 5 and 2yo, there is a Pirate/Peter Pan bedroom that is fantastic. Go there, let them play, and wait. Eventually a CM will come in and read the story of Peter Pan, with animations on the walls and lots of special effects. Kids even get to fire the cannon. It is really amazing!

Every visit, I go to Innoventions hoping that something will be new. And unfortunately, it seems they haven't updated much in quite awhile :confused3 I'd hope that they bring some new stuff in, because we can breeze through the entire House of the Future portion and head up to the games area. It really is a lot of fun and I love the interactive touches, but I really feel it needs to be added to :thumbsup2
