Inland route home to CT- where do we head inland?

We are taking the inland route from CT to WDW and back. We are going to go to Daytona beach for a day and then would like to go to another beach farther north the next day.

So... my question is- how far north can we go before we need to head inland to our route? I just have the highway numbers and exits written down so I don't really even know which state we're in when we head back inland.

Any advice?

Thanks!

What is the other beach? Or haven't you decided yet? I wasn't clear by your post.

We haven't decided yet because I don't know how far north we can go without changing our route. It just sounds like fun to go to different beaches.

Depends on quick you want to starting cutting inland. If you want to go thru the Atlanta area you will need to cut over somewhere around Jacksonville, FL. If the inland route you are talking about is Route 81 up thru the Carolinas, VA, PA and then to Route 84 in PA you can wait until you reach the Carolinas to cut over....not sure of the route numbers ....just google a map of southeastern U.S. and you should be OK. Sorry...it looks like Route 77 going thru the Carolinas and you would pick up 81 in VA

Thanks. I printed our directions for the drive down and we take 81 to 77 so that sounds right. I think we head inland in South Carolina.

I'm going to AAA tomorrow to get a round trip triptik printed so that should help.

Going North, you head inland at exit 86 (maybe it's 87) in SC off of 95N. That takes you onto 26W to Columbia, SC, where you get on 77N up through NC and into VA before taking 81N the rest of the way through VA.
If you need more specific details, PM me.
