ink stain/laundry ?

any help on how to get an ink stain out of pants pocket/lining? Had a pen explode in my khaki pants pocket...it's only in the pocket. How to get it out without it spreading all over the pants? Thanks.

There's this stuff called Kiss-Off... you can get it at Art Supplies stores (Michael's...). It takes off almost any art-related stain. It's worth a shot, but I would keep the pants soaked in water until you can treat the stain, so it doesn't set in too much.

I would take it to the dry cleaners ASAP. Therefore (hopefully) the ink won't set in.

I love Zout stain remover. Oxy Clean is also good. It may take a few washes to get it all out.

I always use rubbing alcohol on ink stains. It works. Just pour some on the stain and wash. Hubby gets them on his shirts all the time.

I've had really good luck with hair spray for ink stains, which is primarily alcohol. Just spray it on, let it soak, and then rinse with water and repeat until it's out. good luck.

Hair spray. You can put an old towel on the back side of the stain if you don't want it to possibly spread to other parts of the pants while you are treating the stain. Just spray some hair spray on it, let it sit for a few minutes and then wash.

Most of the time, it will come out the first time around. But once or twice I have had to reapply the hairspray again after washing, so check before you put them into the dryer.

I have gotten an ink stain out of DH's shirt pocket by soaking the stain with Oxyclean for several hours and then washing.
