Infraction on posting , I dont understand what i did wrong n why?

Hi I tried yesterday to post on here about looking for rental. I got message from moderater saying infraction. does anyone know what or why i did wrong? cause i dont have any idea? I see all kinds people posting they have points for rent and how much. yet i can not post a message or reply to the moderator for clarification? Im confused , any thoughts?

If you check the forum for posting points for rent it has a very clear instruction sticky on the guidelines for who can post points for rent.

You should be able to send a PM to the moderator that issued the infraction and ask them for a clarification. Usually they include a message to explain the infraction. Our Rent Trade board has very specific rules and they have to be followed by those seeking to rent and those offering points.

I think one of the rules is that you can not post looking for a rental. You can only respond to a thread that is offering a rental. I'm not completely sure since I don't frequent the rent/trade boards, but a quick scan of everything makes me believe that is why you got an infraction.

I could be wrong, but thought I'd give you an idea until you hear from the mod.

I too got one yesterday, I was just asking a question on the planning board if one thing would rent out better than another for Spring Break and I posted dates. I was sent a PM that appears on the upper right cornet of the page that explained what I did wrong. Made me feel bad, I wasn't trying to do anything wrong.

thanks again, i tried to respond to modrater but it said no pms because i dont have enough posts,lol. jesus. thanks for trying to explain. what seems like should be easy thing seems harder than should be. my guess is run by government official,lol. cause thats always backwards and difficult like politics. never easy and normal like it should be.

Basically there is a specific forum for rent/trade and there are specific quidelines for using the Rent/Trade forum. You need to read those.

Do not post rental requests on the other forums and you should be safe from infractions.

You can ask general questions but not specifics questions that would include, when you are going and what you would like to rent or even that you want to rent.

Anyone should be able to PM a moderator regardless of how many posts you have here. Please PM the moderator that issued the infraction or send an email to admin@wdwinfo.com if you have any questions. Discussion of infractions needs to be kept to those options.
