We've eaten at both Whispering Canyon and Cape May

Whispering Canyon is a hoot! It's a great place to bring your family, especially a large group. They serve eveything family style and there is a lot of "teasing" going on. For example; my two teenage nephews gulped down their Mason jar of sodas in an instant (like teenage boys will do). Our waitress said we apparently had boys with a "drinking problem". She came back out with two GALLON size mason jars and large straws filled with soda! My sis asked for a fork and a "ittle more tea" - she recieved a giant wooden fork and a thimble mason jar of tea, hahaha!:rotfl2:
Whatever you do, don't ask for KETCHUP!
The food is good - ribs, fried chicken, salad, potatoes - your basic picnic fare. The show throughout dinner was a lot of fun!

Cape May - a good buffet but every time we go it is always jammed pack so we go elsewhere....

We love WCC. We went on our last trip for the first time and everyone agreed it had to be our new family tradition. We enjoyed the food very much. The gallon size jar happened to my hubby as well and then went her went to go to the bathroom after finishing a lot of it, she yelled across the room for him to wash his hands. Lots of other funny stuff too, but I won't go on so it is a surprise for you. Our kids still talk about our waitress (Head Of Lettuce) all the time. We had done it on our first night and so that is when we are going this time again. I hav e seen bad reviews for it, but I don't really listen to those because lots of things we have liked have gotten bad reviews. We figure we like what we like, and want to try things for ourselves. So, as far as food, while we like it you may not, but the fun facor is big there, so I am sure you will enjoy that. I think it is a don't miss. We went to Mama Mellrose but it was many years ago (like 8 I think). It was OK, but we never planned to return and never have. Can't help beyond that, but be sure to check out the menus on AllEars to see if they sound good to you.
Have a great trip!!!!!

pirate: Wolfgang upstairs: We like it a lot and visit it about every trip. Good menu selections and "fair" (remember, this is Disney!)

Whispering Canyon: A must! Young or old - you will enjoy it. Good food and atmosphere.

Cape May: Been there - done that: To high, to crowded - not a lot of atmosphere.

Mama Melrose: Lukewarm on this one. It's not on our "won't go there list" but we seldomm go. Just OK.

Big River: Our preference here is a mid-day stop. We always have a sandwhich, which they have a good selection of, and we do like the brew! Have been for dinner - not overly impressed.

We ate at Mama Melrose's last Sept. and didn't care for it. Food was lukewarm, and not very good.

WCC is great! Good food, lot of fun!

We ate at Wolfgang Puck downstairs last week and it was great, but a little slow getting our food.

L.

Only one I've tried is Mama Melrose and I concur not terrible but nothing special! Not on the top of my todo again list!!
