Just wondering what "special events" we should consider when we visit in Dec (15-26)? Just likely going for one day to SW unless convinced otherwise. Taking the grandparents, Papa is a real animal freak and will like anything interactive with the furry or scaly friends.

If you only have one day I would recommend Dine with Shamu instead of Backstage at Believe. The food is the same but they can't guarantee that there will be a killer whale in the pool next to you. They show a backstage movie and thats it. At Dine with Shamu they do a small show with one of the whales... really cool!

Thanks Princess

We were wondering what was different between the two meals. I will take your advice and book the Dine with Shamu. I went to the South west site and they have a deal that brings down the price by $5 pp and so that only means a $10 difference (pp) between the two meals. I think it's worth it to get a whale at dinner!

I also decided to skip feeding the dolphins as a trade off. At $7pp (and apparently everybody has to pay for a tray), I don't think it's worth it. The kids won't they are missing out, and I'll explain that we are having dinner with Shamu in exchange. I think they will agree to the switch. My oldest loves buffets and the youngest loves whales, middle child just goes along for the ride!:rotfl:
