Hi!

Do they still sell the personalized bricks that are outside the Disneyland gates? I would like to get one for Dh for our anniversary and didn't know where to find information on how to get one.

Thanks!

YES, in fact I just ordered one last week. Phone number is 800-760-3566 and I think the menu option on the phone is "Walk of Magical Memories." Price is $150 and they do offer a discount for Disney Visa. For an additional $35 you can get a replica of your stone as a keepsake. I was told that stones would be put in this November for my order last week.

I think they are only guaranteed for 10 years and then they have the right to remove it. I guess you could just buy one every ten years to assure your place.

How come they still do them at DL but not at WDW :confused3 ??

For a while, they had the "Leave a Legacy" tiles at EPCOT. Where you get to put your picture or a message on those monolith-like structures as you enter the park. I'm up there somewhere. It was one of the free options you were offered when you booked via Disney travel.

At last check the things were there, although they've long ago stopped taking new additions.

How much of a discount do you get with the Disney Visa? How long before they send you the replica? Is it a full sized replica or smaller?

Hi There, The replicas are smaller, not real size. They are great though. I bought one for my mother 3 years ago and got the replica also, and she keeps it on her desk at work. I think they come in wooden or stone material, I opted for the wooden one.

When I purchased mine with the Disney Visa, it was a 25% off discount.

At my computer at home I have the website with the application for the bricks saved. As soon as I get home I'll post the link..

OH my GOSH! I might have to do this as well. I saw those and thought how cool...but I assumed it was for the 50th anniversary and that was it.

I'm going to look into this.

Thanks for asking!!

I think I am going to do this as well, so I am subscribing. :)

http://www.wdwinv.com/difiles/merchevents/Brick Order Form.pdf

I've emailed Disney (dl.bricks@disney.com)to ask about the bricks before and they answered right away and sent a PDF file that was *similiar* to this one. The one they sent has a little more info and background on it.

I would email them to get the PDF they have if you're going to fill it out as I'm sure it's more up to date..

HTH!!

I bought a tile at Epcot in 2004 (our disney-moon) and managed to get a 50th anniversary brick. I think I got the last spot.

i think they're quite neat. I paid the extra money for a sample in wood of our brick at DL as they own the brick so you'll never get it when they're done with it....or at least chances are quite small.

I got that email too. And then within a couple days a real person emailed me this. Or I think it was a real person.

Dear Courtney,

Thank you for your interest in Disney's "Walk of Magical Memories." Located between the entrances to Disneyland Park and Disney's California Adventure Park, you may become part of Disneyland Resort history by sponsoring a 10-inch hexagonal brick along Disney's "Walk of Magical Memories".

Please review the included attachment of the sponsorship order form and application agreement. The application can be submitted to our office by mail or fax. We hope that the following information is helpful as you prepare to place your order.

Each brick may contain 3 lines of script with up to 16 characters per line. Spaces and punctuation are counted as characters. All names must be separated by a space, comma or hyphen. Inscriptions are automatically centered.

Brick inscriptions may include proper person or family names, a single date and a place (such as Anaheim, CA). No other information, including, but not limited to, slogans, titles, memorials, messages, copyright information, company or group names may be included on the brick.

A brick sponsorship is $150 and for an additional $35 you can purchase a 4-inch acrylic or wooden replica of your brick for your desk or mantel. Please note that although a brick sponsorship will not be taxed, a replica order will be taxed (7.750% state tax) if it is being shipped to California or Florida.

Brick sponsorship orders are scheduled to be installed during February 2008, barring unforeseen delays. We encourage you to call our office during or after that time for updates on the latest bricks installed, especially if you are planning on visiting Disneyland Resort to view it.

A confirmation mailer will be sent via the United States Postal Service after your order has been processed. It will include your sales receipt, a Certificate of Authenticity and a map of the walkway. The map will highlight the section of the walkway in which your brick will be installed.

If you should have any questions regarding a brick sponsorship or would like to place an order over the phone, please feel free to contact the Magical Memories office at (800) 760-3566. Cast Members are available to assist you Monday-Friday from 8am-5pm, and Saturday from 8am-4pm Pacific Standard Time.

Thank you and we look forward to your sponsorship!

Sincerely,

Disney's Walk of Magical Memories

Attached to that email was the PDF file..

Thanks prettyprincessbelle! I figure I am not in a huge hurry so I'll wait for the email.

How fun to be wondering around looking for "your" brick!

What a great gift too!!

The replicas are small and either come in wood or acrylic. We got the wooden one. It's very nice.

Someone said something about wandering around and looking for your brick. They actually have coordinates on them so they are very easy to find.

I love ours. It has our name and wedding date on it. We got one of the 50th anniversary ones that has the gold emblem thing on it.

Just got this email in response to my inquiry on the bricks. I had already placed my order by phone, so their response to my email came a little late. Hopefully will help someone here.

You can get info and application from DL.Bricks@disney.com

I ordered one for my family as a Valentines Day surprise for Feb. 14, 2009. It goes in this August, but I swear I will manage to keep the secret somehow! So, I put our names and then the date that we will see it, which is day one of our next trip. And then I chose the mickey hands that form a heart. I am so excited about it!

I am trying to think of the perfect way for them to "discover" the surprise as we walk past it.

I ordered one for DH for our anniversary. I had our names put on it and our city and state and I also got the wooden replica.

It will be installed in November. If you have a Disney Visa, you get 10% off. They just have to verify that you have a Disney Visa, I used a different credit card to charge it to.

They send a packed in 4-6 weeks, you verify everything is correct and make and changes you need to make and after that, it takes 8-10 weeks to receive your replica.

Now how to convince DH that we need a trip out there to see our new brick.....
