What is "Flights of Wonder" like and where in Animal Kingdom is it? Do you get to feed the birds and have them land on your shoulder? Any info would be appreciated! Thanks!

It is near the Africa section of the park. It is a show, well I should really say class lecture on birds lasting about 20 mins in a small theatre with bench seating and it has a few volunteers picked to do very simple things. Birds will fly over your head, but that is about it. On the famous 1-10 scale, I would give it a 6. The pet show I have enjoyed the most in Orlando is Pets Ahoy at Sea World. They have trained rescued animals from Orlando shelters to do amazing things. Wish I could train my cat that well.

We really enjoy Flights of Wonder. Didn't expect to, but popped in one time walking by and needing a rest and we loved it! They have great examples of birds mimicing natural behaviors and some terrific information on conservation. It's done in a very fun way and the birds are amazing - they bring out everything from a singing parrot to a bald eagle to a 4 foot tall crowned crane. Do yourself a favor and see it.

I agree with WDWguru. We also just popped in one day to have a seat for a few minutes and now will never go to Animal Kingdom without seeing Flights of Wonder. It is such a great show! I still get tears in my eyes when they bring out Hope the bald eagle. You should definitely see this show! :thumbsup2

I agree you shouldn't miss this show. We thoroughly enjoyed it and found it very fun and entertaining and the birds were impressive. My kids didn't even want to do it at first, but they ended up really liking it, and my husband and I agreed it was one of our favorite things in the park. It was a whole lot more than we expected. I would put this in the "must-see" category for future trips.

We really enjoyed it when we saw it. It isn't a must see every time we visit but it is lots of fun.

More specifically about where it is;
if you walk from Africa toward Asia, it's on the left across from where there's a boat dock.

We really enjoyed this because my son got picked as a volunteer. Got some priceless photos too. :)

Very well planned show...(just like all of them in WDW)

Beautiful birds.

Some quite exotic ones that are wonderful. There was a hilarious bird that sang in our show! Boy was it a crack up.

Super show, other than that, I pretty much don't have any other info.

Oh, and we got in about 1 minute before the show began. All seats are great.
