I am going to florida in october and have just bought tickets for busch gardens a nd have been told that we can get the bus to take us down there my husband thinks this would be a good idea as he could see some of florida instead of looking at the road , does any one know where we can pick the bus up from and what times it leaves in the morning and what time it leave busch gardens to return we are staying at all star movies so a pick up point close by would be good . Has anyone used this service and is it convenent ?

last time i went to busch gardens the bus left seaworld at about 9am i think, and returned from busch gardens at about 6pm arriving back at seaworld just after 7pm :hyper2:

Although I have never taken a bus from Orlando to Busch Gardens, I have driven from Tampa to Orlando many times. If the only reason to take the bus is to see some of Florida, I wouldn't bother! It's basically interstate all the way, and I can't think of any points of interest at all. You could pretty much be anywhere - I don't think it's a way to 'see Florida'.

If you already have a car hired, I don't think your husband would miss anything if he was driving, and then you can do as you please, and save the cost of the bus.

Enjoy your trip!

Just to echo what Kirstie says - you really won't get to see much of Florida from the I4!

But, your DH might enjoy having a day "off" driving and he could relax more in the coach :)

I agree that the I4 isn't the best sightseeing trip but if you get the bus you can sample the beer at Busch, so long as you dont drive to get the bus - last time I was there there were free samples.

In 2003 we took the bus cos it was included in the ticket price and we were collected and dropped back to Mercado Centre, which was about a 10 min walk from our hotel. Yes we had hired a car but when we had driven to Busch Gardens on a previous holiday we got really lost cos there are not many signs as you get close by. True - it' not a very pretty journey (think of Jeepers Creepers!) but on the way back, we got on the coach as a thunder storm and really bad rain started and i wouldn't have wanted to drive back in it - it was very relaxing and they even showed a movie (although an old one) on the bus too. We would definately bus it again instead of drive.

Have fun!

thanks for all the info it has been very helpfull . I think because we have the use of the bus in are ticket we will use it to give my husband a well earned rest . thanks everyone :flower3:
