I know there's a board for people who checked with MS and found that certain rooms are not svailable.
I booked 8 nights at Kidani for Nov., my home resort with plans to switch to Beach Club at 7 months...out of curiosity, I asked her what the availability was for those dates so far, she said she didn't have access to that info since my window wasn't open for it. Not sure if that's really true, but I was wondering if we could swap info here? I could find out info for Kidani, someone else could find out for Beach Club, etc.
Is there a way to do this efficiently? And is it an ok thing to do?

IMHO you are waisting your time. MS will never tell you how many rooms are still available, just if there is availability.

There may be availability right now, but it could vanish with the next reservation made.

And the opposite can happen too. There can be no availability and then you call at the moment someone cancels their trip or moves to a different resort.

I really suspect that they put in the system change on purpose because too many people were whining "but you told me last week there was availability!"

I don't know that answer either, but I am planning to do the same thing. I have a reservation for a 2 bedroom at Kidani for November 15-21. I am going to try to switch to Boardwalk or Beach Club, but if there is no availability at either of those I am going to stay with Kidani. When are you going in November - maybe we can compare notes?

Every now and then there are threads where an owner at a particular resort has called on behalf of someone else to check availability. It's nice to know but it can change even within that persons call so it's not really relevant. Otherwise the availability thread can give you some head's up if the resort is definitely booked.

Best to just have a few options of where you would like to switch to and go down the list if the first isn't available. And know that you might be staying at "home". :goodvibes
