I was hoping to find some experienced help for one of our WDW days. From everything we have heard about AK we should be able to accomplish most of what we want to do by early afternoon.

We were not going to do MGM but now that we got hopper passes we thought it might be nice to go from AK over to MGM. Do they do the Fantasmic show during late January? Also, any idea on the historic MGM park closing time for late Jan? I was thinking of doing dinner over at MGM and with any luck the Little Mermaid show.

Thanks for any info!

i went last january (18-25) and they did one Fantasmic a night, i believe it was at 7pm?

I have been to WDW the past 5 January's and they show Fantasmic every night ( unless its raining I guess). THere is only one showing and usually, you dont need to be there an hour early. We have gotten there 20 beore show time with lots of seats left!! If it is MLK weekend, expect higher crowds. They even have the priority seating/Fantasmic dinner thing now where you go to dinner and you get seats up front. We have never done that, but its another option if you dont want to wait an hour, or dont want to chance getting there too late for a seat.
