Hi,
Just wondering if I can buy liquid paracetamol or other pain relief in the resorts, or should I be bringing some? I have some sachets for short term use, but should I also bring a bottle in case of DS3 having a fever whilst out there?

Thanks

I have never heard of paracetamol or of sachets but the resorts usually have infant Tylenol or children's Advil.

If you want paracetamol you'll have to bring it with you, because we don't have it here (although we do have acetaminophen, which I think is the same thing.)

I would go ahead and bring it anyway. I find that the best way to avoid illness on vacation is to be prepared for it.

I always bring pain relievers along. Better to have it with me than to have to run around and find some. And surely if I don't have any, the time I will need it is 2am when none of the shops are open.

Thanks everyone for the replies.. It's probably prudent to bring a bottle with me. I'd forgotten that we have different names for our medicines in the UK. We can buy it here in bottles or in single portion packets (like you get sugar / instant coffee in a hotel) which is what I was referring to when I mentioned 'sachets'.

Yes, bring it with you. It will cost significantly more if you have to buy it at Disney! Small packs of diapers cost the same at Disney as a pack twice as big at home.

LOL had to laugh... not only do we have kiddie pain relief in... I'm also now carrying antibiotics and thrush cream, just in case my poor boy needs them. Had to visit our doctor this afternoon as DS has been complaining it hurts when he wee's... Doctor couldn't give a definitive answer as no time to do a urine sample etc, so just gave us the meds instead! Better safe than sorry eh?!

They have medicine for free in the First Aid room. The first time we went to DL our oldest had an ear infection (started the night before, in the hotel room, OF COURSE) and the pain became unbearable during our first morning in the park. I was trying to find a place to buy some Tylenol and went into the First Aid room and they just gave us some for free! Had me sign a paper and then said if he didn't feel well later that he could come lay down on a cot and they would give him a warm compress for his ear. So nice and helpful!!! One of the best kept secrets IMO.

(that being said, I would still bring my own meds if you can, but its nice to know that in a pinch, they have options, too!)
