Inexpensive Window Wash Solution??

Hi everyone. I want to wash the outside windows of my house. We have 2 stories, and I have heard that we can attach some sort of cleaner to my garden hose to wash the windows without a ladder. Has anyone done this? How much did the cleaner cost??? I bet this would work on siding, too...?

Windex used to make one. I don't know if they still do. It was called windex outdoors I think.
