Is anyone aware of any good deals on SD cards? I purchased the Disney videa camera that was on a Woot special recently, but those really need an SD card to hold any length of footage. We're trying to avoid paying more for the SD card than we did for the cameras!:lmao:

Anyone, please?:flower3:

I bought a 2 gb at Best Buy for $12.99. That was the cheapest I could find as of last week. That was the full price, no sale.

Every so often, www.newegg.com will have amazing deals on SD cards, as does woot at times (usually during a woot-off). But if you want a card now, try the drugstore chains---I was going out one night and discovered my card was full, I went to Walgreens and they had one on sale, a 2GB for $9.99. Maybe pay more for one at the get-go, but do the online.

I have learned it is in my best interest to keep my memory cards once full. This past summer, DH decided to "fix" my slowed computer by erasing the entire hard drive. I still don't know why he thought that was appropriate. After the hysterical crying at the thought of ALL my pictures gone forever, I remembered my memory cards and my old hard drive and was able to recover almost every picture. I figure no matter the cost of the new SD card, it's totally worth it for backup like that!

I got 2 Sandisk 2 gb sd cards from Amazon for $8.15 shipped free. They also have Kingston for ($9-$10).

We got the same camera and ended up getting a 16 gb at Sam's Club for about $35. It can hold about 2 hours of HD video.

I got the same video camera from Woot also. It says it only can work with up to a 2GB card. Check and make sure yours is the same as mine - if so only 2GB is supposed to work.

I totally read the OP wrong! I got a different camera from Woot that was mentioned here. I just assumed it was the same one when I read originally! Sorry!

Everytime you download something to your computer you should also make another copy and store it in another place. No need to store images on memory cards. They were not designed for long term storage and there are cheaper storage options.
