We are looking for a hotel to stay in before and after we use our package at WDW resort. We plan to drive and stay within 2 hours or less of WDW on the way down, on the way home probably about the same. It's also possible we will make it all the way to WDW the first day, but we don't want to spend the money to stay at a resort because we will be arriving in the evening. We plan to stay until our passes run out on the last day and leave for home, but I'm sure we won't drive far as we will be very tired. We will be coming from southern IL, so it would need to be sourthern Georgia or northern FL. One possiblity we have found so far is Gainesville, FL any info. Is this right on the interstate or out of the way. I have priced the Fairfield Inn there at $54. Thanks!

try www.biddingfortravel.com for information about using priceline. We use them often for rooms and biddingfortravel is a great source for information. Just make sure you read the FAQ section before you post a question.

The Fairfield Inn in Gainesville is right off I-75, not out-of-the-way at all. Gainesville is right at 2 hours from Disney.

This is another great website which provides a listing of the hotels you can bid for on Hotwire/Priceline...they have everything from $25/night to $300/night. There are definitely good deals to be had and the website lets you know what you're bidding on!
