Hello Everyone,
I am a newbie to WDW and to this site. I have been in the works to book our first trip to Disney for a few months now but could use a little help from the experts. :worship: We are technically scheduled to arrive at WL on 12/5/2010and leave the morning of 12/11/2010. When I went to book our trip at WL with the $500. card promotion they have going on there was no rooms available the last night 12/10/2010. So I was only able to book the room through the morning of the 10th. I hope I didn't make that too confusing. Our last night we must find a new hotel to stay at which will be Friday night 12/10/2010. Does anyone know of a nice very inexspensive hotel right outside of Disney they would recommend that's in a nice area. Our last dinner Friday night is at Chef Mickey's. So a hotel/motel close to Chef Mickey's would be nice. We have 2 small children 3 and 6. Thank you in advance for your help.

I happen to like what is now called the Clarion. It was the Comfort Inn but has gone thru extensive renovations. It is on Palm Parkway just outside of Down Town Disney.. you can try this link. It does state that for the $39 rate, you have to book by 10/7, but I have heard of others who got that rate after the 7th..
good luck.. hope it works for you..

Will you have a car or would you have to rent one just for that night? If you don't have a vehicle (any maybe even if you do), I would look into one of the value resorts that is on property. Bell services may even transport your luggage for you, if you ask.

We will have our car with us as we are driving from Texas. Thank you for the links. I will def. check them out. As always any help and advice is greatly appreciated.

I watch Travelzoo.com like a hawk when I need a cheap hotel before my check in date at my timeshare. Sometimes they have great deals at the Clarion mentioned earlier (aka Comfort Inn Lake Buena Vista) or the DoubleTree Castle near the convention center. They were running a deal at a Hampton Inn for $35 incl breakfast, but it is was near the Florida Mall.

Thank you so much for the links. I was able to book a room at Clarion Inn for $39. Amazing. And they have the kids eat free plan going on. If you have anymore money or time saving ideas please do share. Thanks a bunch!
