Hi All,
We are taking our 2nd family trip down to the Orlando area! Leaving in 25 days and can NOT wait! Last time, we visited MK, MGM & AK. This time it's EPCOT! We also would like to visit the Space Coast but want to keep in economical. I've read up on Kennedy Space Center and although it sounds interesting, it's more $$ than we want to spend. Do anyone have suggestions for free or cheap things to do in that area? I seem to remember reading on these boards about some of the Space exhibits in the area that have free admission? Would also appreciate advice about which area to go and spend some time at the beach? Thanks a lot for your help!

We went to the coast last June, on a Wednesday. We went to the Canaveral National Seashore (North Entrance) because they had a beach wheelchair. It was $5.00 per car to get in and we had the entire beach to ourselves. No one for miles. It was sunny and around 80 degrees. The water was beautiful, and we saw some dolphins. Didn't find any good shells, but you can't have everything.

WE last went to KSC in 2000 and you could get into KSC for free and just pay for the tours and Movies. Now to get into KSC you have to pay a flat admission fee of $28.00 and this included the bus tour and movies and all the areas that used to have free admission and the are some options that can be added for more $$$
Was very dissapointed when I went this yr!! I just wanted to walk around the area which was always free and go to the gift shop to see what I could get on the Columbia and Challenger!

there is a security check here
