Indy Meet next weekend- Who's coming? / update pg 3

Hi Serena and all!

Loon Lodge, that is right! I was sitting at the end of the table with Wheelsie and hubby. NativeTxn was sitting across and down a bit. I remember her as she was so very friendly and took the time to talk loud enough so that I could actually hear some of what she said. Dan Murphy, who could forget him or his Chicago Mickey's? He hugged everyone goodbye and even when I was nearly 90 pound heavier (am still huge btw) he made me feel tiny. He is as tall as a redwood forest. LOL Crowds are hard for me. Sort of like being surrounded by a wall of silence.

I have a problem though. There is a good chance that I might not be able to come. I had to call the squad for a dear friend yesterday. She has been suffering from pneumonia and not getting any better for a few weeks. Her son went to church camp for a week and her daughter is at DW with her grandkids so I was sort of left in charge. Today is her 86th birthday so I am off for the hospital so I can be there when the doctor comes in. I may well have to bring her home with me until one of her family members gets back. Wish me luck in getting her to do such a thing. Independent as a hog on ice is my friend. Her son is due back Sunday so we shall see. For you all I will leave my house in a mess and deal with it later, if my friend is able to go home by then.

We're going to try to go but I'm thinking we won't make it... DD is in a parade in Fisher's on Sunday and has to be there to line up at 2:30, so we'd have to leave Greenwood by 1:30 at the very latest. Now Loon Lake Lodge is only 10 minutes from me...!

Ok, it looks like everyone is coming on sunday at the mall, that can make it. Ok, that's alright. It's supposed to get in the 90's saturday and that'd be a little hot for being outside.

So sunday meet it is at 1pm Although, I can make it earlier and maybe jennz would be able to come too? Would anyone else be able to do that, come at say 11 or 12 instead?


Danny, Slightly Goofy's instructions are going to save you some time and gas.

Serena - that's really nice of you! Seriously though don't change it just because of me, I can always try next time. At this time DD's not sure if she'll be able to walk in the parade so we'll be able to make the 1:00 then; she's got some bad blisters on her feet and some have popped. I'm thinking they will not be okay for a 2 mile parade in 90-something degree weather in 3 days, but we'll just have to wait and see!

Hi there Serena!

No way was this COPD lady gonna try a park in the midst of a hot Indiana day. LOL

With a bit of imagination we might all believe ourselves to be at Sunshine Seasons.

BTW, there is a second run theater, as well as many first run ones right on this street. I know where the Deals store is as well as some other bargain outlets. There is a Disney Store in the mall. I could be the economy guide if anyone is interested or I could tag along with a luxury guide and maybe change my lifestyle. (smile)

My friend may not get out of the hospital until Saturday and her son will be back home that evening so I am thinking I will be able to come. (if I have any energy leftover)

Serena and all, I am just plain sorry, it is impossible for me to make it tomorrow. My friend's son showed up and took her home but he is dead dog tired from being at church camp all week and is a mainstay at their church and needs me to sit with his mom tomorrow so he can attend. If I made it , it would be later and since I have be to be back to care for her again for evening services I just cannot think of a way that I can make it. Better luck in September as I would dearly love to meet you all.

BTW, Serena, if you would pm me with your addy I would be glad to send a picture of myself at Loon Lodge so you might remember me. I would love to see one of you as well.

Linda, I'm sorry. I was hoping for better news. I don't have many pics of me, but I'm trying. lol I don't photograph well, at least I don't think so, so I'm usually the one taking pictures instead of being in them.

I'm planning on it, but it's not like I live very far away! In fact, I'll probably run to the mall to do some shopping and be there anyway. So, I'll swing past the food court and look for you and Danny. I'll have on a lime green shirt! See you this afternoon, maybe.

Well, I got to meet Mickeefan/Julie today. She was very nice. We missed Danny though, were you there danny, or were you not able to come?

Serena, I am so sorry you did not get a bigger turn out. I was even sorrier that I missed getting to meet you in person. Maybe next time or even in September (God willing and the crick don't rise).

At least you got to meet Julie and that cannot be all bad at all. Is sometimes easier to visit one on one.

This meet was very small, but that's ok, I enjoyed meeting Julie. I wish I was better at small talk though.

Serena, I am sure you did just fine. After all, if you love Disney you automatically have something to talk about unless one of you is a die hard value resorter and the other is a die hard luxury resorter and have no tolerance for each other and there are few of them around. LOL
