Indoor gardening! I FAIL

Help! I started a terrium in my old apartment. Well it did great there then I moved into my aunt’s basement. I bought a grow light and am managing to keep the temperature of the terrium at 65 (which is what the plant tag said). Well I notice little bugs flying around and on further inspection learned there fungus gnats. I tried all the cures our plant book had (baking soda, soap and water, tilling the soil, putting sand over the dirt and using fly paper) and the little buggers are still here. So what do I do now? I’m trying to avoid pesticides due to my cats, fish and hamster.
Here’s a list of the plants and there issue:
China doll- turning brown on top, leaves falling off
Foliage- Droopy looking
Foliage (tiny leaves)- leaves fell off and the plant turned brown
