I'm glad that the show is going because it's gotten old. Its been around since the park first opened, it was time to take it off life support. Plus it takes up a big chunk of what is a small park.

I was just wondering is there anybody on the board who doesn't want to see it go?

I liked it when I was younger and have always loved the audience participation. But like with every movie or show you just get sick of the same schtick. There's only so many times you can watch the same thing over and over. It's like living as Bill Murray's character in the movie Groundhog Day when I watch this show.

I like the show and I hate to see anything that I like go away. Regardless of whether something better takes it's place.

However, a reliable source has said Indiana Jones is NOT closing in January. It WILL close in a few years but right now there are no plans to close it that early.

Whoa really? Can you divulge where you heard your info?

It does make sense to start the demoliton in other areas first. Parts that don't have anything or have very bad attractions like the Backlot Tour.

I don't know who the guy is in real life, but if you look back at his postings you'll find he has a lot of insider info that usually turns out to be accurate.

Later, he goes on to say he has no evidence whatsoever that Star Wars Land is coming any time soon.

The spirit is a very reliable source when it comes to disney news and rumors. He got all the disney springs stuff right and lots of other things in the past as well. He has said Star Wars is coming but not for a while. He says DCA is getting more monsters inc and DCL is looking into more cruise ships. His biggest thing right now is maelstrom will be going down for a refurb for a cheap overlay of frozen.

Small sample but looks like many people on here would like to see it go. I would actually like to see a couple other older DHS attractions go.

Indiana jones is our favorite afternoon entertainment. I will be happy if it stays another few years.

I'm tired of it but I bet that it's a lot of fun for the first time visitor. Since Disney seems more focused on them I bet that it will stay.

I like the show fine, but I wouldn't mind seeing it go. It is a very old ride that takes up a lot of space. It's a good show, it's fun and entertaining, but it isn't something that I would be mad to see go.

My DD loves the shows and dreams of the day when she can volunteer. So, I hope it sticks around long enough that she can (that would be 7 years though). I also personally don't get tired of the show.

My feeling on the rumor: BS

Most likely what's going on:
-American Idol news comes out.
-Someone says "Hey they must be putting in Star Wars"
-Someone else says "But if they do that there, they'll have to close Indiana Jones"
- Person #3 concludes: "They must be closing Indiana Jones."

BAM, you have a "confirmed" rumor.

My friend in Orlando just told me it was on the news that Indiana Jones and American Idol were closing. She did not say when.

Anyone hear any info on what they plan to do with the rest of Echo Lake? If they remove 50s PT I honestly will have a hard time eating in DHS.

Any thoughts on this?

Just got back and talked to the CM working the adventure outpost. Who knows what she knows but we asked and she said Indy and AI were closing and Star Wars was coming in with a possible cars land too. She didn't have any other info and I know she probably only hears rumors too but thought I would pass it on. :)

American Idol is def closing. That has been confirmed and is way over due. I just hope that building doesn't sit empty for a long time.

I would say cars no Star Wars probably
There were plans to bring cars to DHS but they were shelved star wars is the main focus. Indy is not closing only American idol is officially. Echo lake based on rumors is the area of a Star Wars expansion.
