We are planning on going to disney next may with a group of 10 people (8 adults and 2 children).

I have searched all areas, pricing, etc. I did find two houses, one in Indian Creek (extremely reasonable) and one in Emerald Island (alot more).

The amentities are very similar. I just don't know any of these areas and was hoping for some feed back.

The price difference between the two is about $800.

Thanks!!:goodvibes

Emerald Island and Indian Creek are both in the same area, just a couple of minutes apart. Emerald Island has a manned security gate, clubhouse, community pool with tiki bar, play area, a few planned activities etc. It also has nice landscaping and more greeenery than Indian Creek.
Indian Creek has no gate and no clubhouse or community pool. There are a couple of play areas and tennis courts, I think. There are a few homes that border hwy 429 which may or may not be a little noisier than others. Indian Creek is divided into two parts by 429, the two sections are connected by an overpass. 429 isn't a busy road so I don't think it's too much of a problem, I've never heard of any problems because of this.
We've stayed in both places and they are fine. I've got homes in both on a short list for our next trip. Both are about the same distance to the AK side of Disney using Sherberth Rd.
Here's a map with Emerald Island #15 and Indian Creek #11 marked along with other subdivisions in the area.
