Happy Independence Day everyone!:woohoo:

(and to those of you who aren't in the United States: happy, Sunday!)

Sometimes it's difficult as we fight for our own equality to remember that we really do have it better here in the good ole U.S. of A. than so many of our GLBT brothers and sisters in other parts of the world. (at least until the Texas G.O.P. starts throwing us in prison )

So, take a moment to reflect on our founding fathers who decided that all men should be free and equal. Honor their achievements, and rededicate ourselves to continuing their fight for equality for all Americans!

And then go watch so fireworks!

Have a great Fourth everyone!

Where's the "like" button?

Happy 4th to all!!

I know!! Does that mean we are on facebook to much?:confused3 .....

Just a friendly PSA to remind everyone that here are crazy drunk drivers out there so be careful! You never know where they will strike.:headache:

HAPPY 4th!

Happy 4th!! :cheer2:

Another PSA...leave the fireworks to the professionals! Muppets should have 4 fingers, not people!!

I hope you are doing better after your encounter the other day!

I told DS that my rule has ALWAYS been that nobody drives a car with him in it if they have had a drop of alcohol. DH and I aren't big drinkers anyway, but if we have a drink it is either at WDW or at home. I grew up with an alcoholic father and was never allowed to refuse to get in the car when he was drunk. I tried to protest a couple of times, and I always ended up in the car anyway. :guilty:

Of course there are LEGIONS of drunks on the roads anyway, so we all need to be extra careful. Add in the crappy weather conditions we have been seeing the past few days and it really is a recipe for disaster.

Thanks, but I actually feel worse!:confused3 I am heading back to the hospital this afternoon, I just had to come into work to finish taxes. I am sure the dept of revenue does not want to hear my excuse as to why I am filing late. Oh well.

The funny thing ( well really not funny), we were not in a car. We were just standng in the parking lot! Thanks you for asking though!:goodvibes I hope the 2 of you had a nice trip! ( and good job on the villa!)

I am so sorry! Hopefully the Dr.s will have something useful to offer.

We're here until Wednesday. Other than the rain we are having a pretty good time. DS would stay here forever if I would let him, but he misses DH.

Happy (belated) 4th to you all!

Excellent policy; I hope he remembers it in tough situations.

Ugh! I hate the way kids can be made to feel helpless about their own safety.

PghLybrt--I missed the initial story, but, I hope you feel better soon and that the doctors can offer something to help.

Thank you.
Sorry, I guess i never really explained on here. I did on facebook to a point because someone pointed out that i shouldnt talk to much about it.
Anyway long story short, I went out thursday to a mini hs reunion of sorts. After everyone left I was still talking in the parking lot to one of my good friends (who I never see!) and my GF. All of a sudden, from behind, we were plowed over by a truck navagating with a drunk driver. He thought it was funny. So i spent the weekend of the 4th (not at work which I really needed to be!) in dr's offices the Er and back to the hospital. Fun times.

Yuck! That's not fun at all.

I hope everything was appropriately reported, that you've found some options and that you're able to get back to work.
