THIS MIGHT ALREADY BE IN THE WORKS. BUT ARE THERE PLANS FOR A SECOND INCREDIBLES MOVIE? WITH EACH VISIT TO THE PARKS, I SEE MORE PEOPLE DRESSED AS THEIR FAVORITE SUPER HERO FROM THE FIRST MOVIE. THE MERCHADISE IN ALL THE SHOPS STILL SELLS WELL......IF A SECOND MOVIE IS NOT PRESENTLY BEING PLANNED, I THINK WE NEED TO DO AN OPINION SURVEY AS TO WHAT EACH OF US THINKS ABOUT SEEING BOB PARR AND HIS INCREDIBLE FAMILY AGAIN............

I VOTE AN INCREDIBLE YES IN FAVOR OF A NEW INCREDIBLES MOVIE WITH A YOUNGER BOB PARR, IN SHAPE AND WEARING THE BLUE TIGHT SUPER HERO OUT FIT AGAIN....popcorn:: popcorn:: popcorn::

Personally, I vote against a sequel. A lot of great movies are followed up by horrible sequels, especially in the family movie genre when sequels often go right to video. Toy Story is perhaps the only exception I can think of. I enjoyed the Incredibles and don't see the need to rehash it. Don't worry though - if there's money to be made, you may see it return.

The Disney Co. has recently announced that it is not going to do this (cheap made-for-video sequels) anymore.

BTW, Mr. & Mrs. Smith

Where are you digging up these OLD OUTDATED POSTS?

(And why?) :confused3

personally, i think it would be an incredible idea. this movie still has a large following.....ever noticed all the red incredible shirts at the parks?:cool2:

We proudly wore our Incredible shirts last trip to meet the Incredible!
Although I would love to see a movie, the way this one ended there was several storylines they could continue with, I would love to see a ride/show/attraction with the Incredibles more. It took a few years to get Monsters Inc and theever popular Toy Story is adding another attraction at MGM so maybe one day we will get an incredible Incredibles attraction as well.

There are currently no plans in the works for an Incredibles sequel. But it could happen. Here's an excerpt from an article about Brad Bird and Ratatouille that the London Times posted online last week:
Bird's next project has already been the subject of much speculation. An adaptation of 1906, James Dalessandro's novel set against the backdrop of the San Francisco earthquake, the project will be Bird’s first live-action film. He also says that a sequel to The Incredibles is not out of the question. "I muse about it. I have maybe half a movie in my mind. But I don’t want to do it just because people liked the first one, I would have to feel that I was going somewhere new."

They are a few pages back in the archives and I think we've already been through this a number of times since you keep asking me the same question. To be clear, these aren't "old" posts. They are from September. I am responding to them because they are of interest to me.

And this one belongs over on the Rumors & News board.. since it has nothing to do with theme parks !

thanks, mr or mrs smith. no post on the subject of incredibles is old. no need to move this thread, i think it has alot to do with theme parks. where do you think all the incredible fans go??? by the way, i think an incredible rollr coaster would be a great idea.:thumbsup2

For the record, I'm a huge Incredibles fan but not a huge Disney sequels fan.

Just because they said they were'nt doing cheap made for video sequels does'nt mean they can't release it in theatres.

The actual announcement was that Disney is shutting down the unit that made the cheap sequels. But the sequels are still going to continue. There will be a stream of Princess and Fairy cheepies coming. Pixar is being ordered to make Cars 2 in addition to Toy Story 3 - with rumors of Nemo 2 and Toy Story 4 to be in development. There are plans already in the work for two sequels to Enchanted before that movie is even released.

And only the gods know when High School Muscial - The Senior Citizen Years will come to an end.

The only real change is that these are being called "franchises" instead of sequels. It's a spiffy Hollywood term any Disney fan should get used to see a lot.

thanks for the info. maybe there is something in the works for incredibles, if all this is coming.......:)

I had heard that Disney pushed very hard for follow-up 'Incredibles' projects, but the film's creator wasn't much interested. As the power shift between Disney and Pixar continues to evolve, I wouldn't be surprised if there isn't something that might happen - even if it's not a full blown theartical movie.

Me and hubby keep saying we'd love to see Incredibles go to a short work like a cartoon. Jack-Jack Attack anyone? That was hysterical and similar-style cartoons would be a blast!

I think the Incredibles would work well as a short work. Great idea, Tinkerspell!
