Incorporating EE into AK intinerary

We've done AK quite a few times now so I feel like we had a good itinerary down, but I want to ride EE this time. I have 3 small kids and a non-thrillseeker for a DH so it will be me alone riding. In addition, we've always toured in winter so both DH and I would like to do Kali for the first time, we'll have to switch off because of the younger kids. Can anyone help me form a half day itinerary that doesn't involve TOO much backtracking? Part of the problem is FPs - if I get one for EE, the whole family can't ride KS unless we standby. The other issue is lack of time before kids need to nap. Maybe I should skip KS ... they can go to KS, I go to EE, ride standby and we meet in the middle? AK is so tricky! Thanks for any help!

Here's what we'd like to do during our (approx) half day:

EE (just me)
KS
Kali (swap)
PW (just me)
Tri Spin
time at the Boneyard
FotLK
Pangani & Maharajah

If more than one person wants to ride, go to EE and sprint at the rope drop. That's your best bet.

But to be honest this attraction has a single rider line so you should be OK at any time! Maybe FP Kali first, then sprint to EE and join the single riders? You should only wait about 10 minutes in this line!

If you get a fast pass for either KS or EE as soon as you get to the park.. after 2 hours ( or the time on the fast pass is up) you can get another one. So.. say you run over and get an EE fast pass as soon as you get to AK at 9:30. You can all go get another FP for KS at 11:30. It tells you right on the fast pass now what time you are allowed to get another FP. So you can do both. You can go back and do your fast pass ride ANY time after return time. If EE says 11:30-12:00.. you can go back at 4pm and use it. Its still good.

Actually.. go grab everyone a fast pass for EE as soon as you get there and that way, when you come back there in the evening or when ever you ride, you will have more than one fast pass to use. KS closes earlier than the rest of the park usually.. so Id save EE until later.... I know.. during the parade!! Leave hubby and the kids watching the parade ( starts at 4) and go use your fast passes and ride EE a few times.

Personally, I wouldn't even bother with an EE fastpass. If you get to the park at opening, and I see you're going in Sept (low crowds), you seriously won't need the fastpass. We made the mistake of getting an EE fastpass first and I swear the line we waited in for the EE fastpass took longer than the standby line for EE. No joke! The EE standby line moves SO quickly - we got in at the way end of the line and it took us 15 minutes to get to the loading area (obvioulsy, they didn't have all the turnstyles open, but still, it was FAST). Also, if it's just you going on, there's a single rider line to the right of the fastpass return entrance. Just ask a CM if you can't find it. Have fun!!

Here are 2 possible touring plans- they both end about midday.

1. Arrive at Rope Drop.
2. Head stright to KS and just ride it. (9:30)
3. Get a FP for EE.
4. DH does Kali while you take the kids through Maharajah Trek. (10:00)
5. DH takes kids to Dinoland for Trispin and Boneyard while you do Kali, EE, and PW. (10:30)
6. Head to the 3rd FotLK (about 11:40)
7. Go up to Asia for the Pangani Trek.

or

1. Arrive at Rope Drop. 1 person head to EE and get FP while the others head to KS.
2. Meet at KS and ride standby. (9:30)
3. Head to 1st FotLK show (9:40)
4. Go to Dinoland- you go on PW and kids go on TriSpin. (10:30)
5. While kids play in the boneyard you go to EE. (10:45)
6. Meet at Kali and someone takes the kids on the trail while the other goes on Kali. (11:15)
7. Meet back and other goes on Kali while kids enjoy the trail or go back to boneyard. (11:30)
8. Enjoy Pangani Trail.

Since it would be only you riding EE. Why not grab FPs for everyone at Kilimanjaro and ride EE in the SR line? That's probably the best way to ride both rides without skipping one or the other.
