In Your Opinion, What are the Best Table Locations?

I was wondering, after reading posts about lousy tables in the dining rooms, where you feel the best ones are located? I know I have no choice in the original assignment, but if we get one of the bad ones and I ask to change, it seems like it would be good to know which to ask for. Also, IYO, do you think the "best" servers get assigned to the "best" tables?

Does this make sense???

Honestly, I don't think it makes one lick of difference where your table is.

I've been all over the dining rooms on my 8 cruises so far and none of the tables was any better than any others. I don't think any tables are considered "best"...at least none are any better than any other in my book.

It's all good!

Your table number is the same in each dining room, but you table location isn't. You might be in a corner in one dining room, by a window in another, and in the center in the third.

I imagine they do this on purpose.

Is this something new or does it actually vary by table number? When we cruised in Sept of 2000, we had table #4 and it was in the same spot in all the dining rooms.

I cruised in May of this year and in Animators we were on the left on the aisle, in parrot cay we were on the right in the middle and in tritons we were on the right against the wall so it definitely wasn't in the same place in each restaurant. What was really nice was that our head waiter was always there making sure if everything was OK and he even made the banana desert dish with the fire right next to my 2 year old so she could see it. Next time we go we are taking the 7 day but I wish Ali (head waiter) Michael (waiter) and tay-fun (asst. waiter) could be with us again!

In Oct. 2000 our table was in the same location in all three dining rooms. This past Oct. it was in a different location in all three dining rooms. Go figure........

We just got back from the 10/26/02 cruise and we had table 26. It was in roughly the same spot in each restaurant.

I don't think it matters where your table is.... it's all in your attitude and your table mates. You can have an enjoyable dinner anywhere on the ship!!

I was one of the posters for lousy tables, number 37. Don't think the servers are lousy if the tables are. Our servers were good and were on their fourth contract. However, it does seem to affect the servers if the table is bad. Folks move out of the area if the location stinks, and it was obvious, since they had no tables in the late seating, that their station is not considered "choice".

We just got back from the Wonder 3 night cruise and had table 67 (for 4). It was in roughly the same place each night and was a great location.

we were allocated table 2 on our recent Magic cruise. This was one of the first tables as you entered each Dining room ( similar location in each ) close to a wall/window

It was great being at the edge of the room, without people passing the table all the while, but the only time I wished we had a more central location was for the light show at AP. It was hard to see a lot of the changing pictures from our corner and I couldn't see the film clips at all
