$194 per person for
...a four night stay at the Contemporary, Poly or Golf Resort
...five days' admission to the Magic Kingdom
...one day's admission to River Country
...a cruise to Discovery Island
...two activities (horseback riding, water craft stuff, etc)
...one breakfast
...one dinner (including the Hoop-de-doo and the Luau)

I found a 1979 brochure my parents got for my first ever trip. :teeth:

OMG.I wish it was still like that.I could live there if it was:teeth:

Ahhh, the good old days!

$194 wasn't even that much back then! I think it has gone up even more than inflation.

WOW! I like those prices. I remember that daily admission in 1984 was about $18.00. We used a fun jet package deal (7 nights off site), air, hotel and car. It was 2 adults and 1 child for just under $1000.

I was lucky enough to tour Disneyland in 1956. I was almost 7 years old and the cost for admission was:

7 tickets plus a general admission (A through C only; D came later and E not until 1959) and cost only $2.50 for an adult.

katerkat - I think I'm more depressed about the fact you were born the year I graduated from high school than those prices from "the good old days!"

That's the year I was born also (1979)! :teeth: :wave2:

tricia.

15 years ago I priced out a WDW trip. I asked to go for 2 weeks for me and my ex and 3 kids... only 2 had to pay.

For 2 full weeks including airfare staying at one of the best resorts with a I think she quoted me a gold-type package was less than $5000. We didnt go, but MAN..what would that cost today??
