In serious need of advice/guidance.

You have to physically check in. You can do that very early in the morning (before 7 am even). If your room is ready, you can store your stuff otherwise you can store your stuff with bell services and come back later to get your room number. They will even take your cell number and call you with your room number if you like.

Yep! And in Loews own words from the FAQ section on the site of each onside hotel....

"Q: I realize check-in does not begin until 4:00 PM, but I wanted to use the Universal ExpressSM Unlimited Pass to skip the regular lines before that.

A: Please arrive as early as you like the day of check-in and our front desk agent will be happy to pre-register you and assist you with your Universal ExpressSM Unlimited Pass. The bellman will hold your luggage while you enjoy the parks."

I have found that Orbitz and other online booking sites often have the rooms cheaper. I was just able to save $100 for 1 night over booking directly from the Universal Website.

I also thought they had rooms that will accomodate 6???

It's not worth it unless you want to stay there period. We are going to be 6 people. I tried - that has to be 2 rooms. Cheapest rate for 1 night came out to just under $600 for the two rooms. Divided by 6/day, is just under $50. that's the cost of the Express passes for the 2 days we want to go. I am staying on DVC at Disney for the week. So it's a wash. no savings. Last year, in August, crowds were light, but the passes absolutely helped. Spiderman alone, it saved us almost an hour. The question I have is that you can buy the EPs in the park after you get in - and I wonder if the price that day is less or more than if you pre-reserve them. Anyone????

The more they sell the more expensive they get. They also raise rates for the EP based on the day of the week and if it is peak season...

I thought I remembered an all day unlimited EP being available as well, but it cost around $150 pp

Only suites at PBH sleep 6.

I never seem to be able to find cheaper rates. Orbitz always seems to be the exact same price. What are your dates?
