In search of the best Club Level Experience

I am ready to book a club level room and really want to enjoy it. I think I am choosing AKL and have it booked, but I welcome feedback.

I just read an article about the Poly, and it confirms my worst fears. I fear I won't like any because I am really particular about high quality food, and don't think I will find much value in mass produced pastries. The coffee and a glass of wine, will be nice, but at what cost?

Anyone think one club lounge is better than the others? Please help!

The GF main building is very nice. Also the YC & BC lounges have recently (within the past year) been re-done.

I toured both lounges on my last stay and found the food to be so drab, so I chose AKL thinking the food would be better. Can anyone speak to that?

Interesting. I also toured both lounges a few months ago (perhaps July?) and thought the offerings in the main building were better. I would say that the people at the outbuilding (name?) were nicer than those at the main one though.

You may be on to something. My tour was before the new food program was revamped at GF this year. Did it get upgraded beyond Ritz crackers and cheddar cheese cubes that I saw?

Far beyond that. Both locations had offerings that included that but also others that were much better.

I don't think any foodie will be blown away by any Disney CL, sorry to say. That's just not the focus of their CL. Not foodie level at least.

Though having done all but Poly my favorite by far is Boardwalk. Blows the others away.

We have done Poly CL 3 x GF CL outer building and BC CL. We adore the Poly for the ambiance and location, the morning food is meh.. BUt the afternoon food and drinks are great..
The Poly CL experience focuses on the location, view and ambiance. Spectacular view you wont get anywhere else on property. The CM here were super accommodating and helpful.

GF on the other hand had much more than the mini dry pastries, cereal and fruits. They had sliced meats, boiled eggs, different cheeses and spreads, fruit, bagels, cereal and much more. GF CL also brought us into our room to check us in which is really nice, and of course world class customer service all around. I don't remember much about BC CL at all so it obviously wasn't memorable..lol

Like AngiTN mentioned, if you are big into quality food then you will not be impressed with CL food. We did CL once and found it was not for our family for a few reasons, no real breakfast items eggs, bacon etc. The best food comes out, I believe, between 5-7 and the majority of the time we were not back at the resort in time. The time we were there it was good but not really all that. I think one of the biggest draw is the free beer and wine, but like us, we may only have one glass of wine, it's not a big deal. We were glad to be upgraded to CL so we could try it.

Another vote for the Boardwalk. The CMs are the best on property. We cannot wait to see them every year. The food is adequate for what it is supposed to be but agree that it is not 5 Star. We do not treat the 5-7 as meal replacement either though. The convenience of two parks in walking distance is definitely one our favorite things about the resort itself.

We've only stayed club level at the GF (RPC in the main building) and in the CR, both Atrium and Tower Club. The RPC was years ago, although I remember we were not overly impressed with the food. Atrium club was very busy. Food was decent, not great, but we found, as someone else mentioned, we had to time it to be around when they brought out the food. Otherwise we ended up with the between meal snacks (which were great to have, just not anything noteworthy). We ended up at the Tower Club level as a free upgrade. It was amazing. The food was essentially the same as what we had experienced when we stayed at the Atrium level, but there were considerably fewer guests in the lounge. It was a much more initimate experience. The CM's who worked there were amazing. They greeted us by name and chatted with us. We even met some of the chefs and chatted with them as well. We were sad to leave the Tower Club (we were only there one night) for a regular CR garden wing room! It was a lovely experience. We could never afford to stay there, so I am very happy we got a chance to experience it.

I loved Wilderness Lodge simply for the fact they had Elysian Space Dust on draft. It was nice to have good beer!

It’s been a few years, but I really liked GF. It wasn’t the main building, but those were the nicest cm’s anywhere.

Food has been pretty much same at all.

On our trip fall 2015 when we walked into Beach Club we were upgraded to club level for free so that is hard to beat. The breakfast didn’t interest my husband very much but the snacks around mid-afternoon were enough for a lunch for me.
