In Search of My Body vol.9 - I Get By With A Little Help From My Friends

OMG, these posts made me think of our early days! Jeez-a-loo! I understood the reference instantly, Nancy! Lyz and Lisa....how I miss thee!

And LIZ...I am freaking ROLLING and your comments "and that is why I oink!" HI LAR IOUS!

*sigh* Life, Love, and Pretzel Dogs for all!

Nance--great job on tracking AND being under! Something you can tell Erin about tomorrow so *maybe* she won't beat your a$$. But we all know she will! Ha!

Paula--Goddess Crown for you! Totally!

Meg--have you checked SW out of Manchester? Last I saw, it looked good. I have to book this week. And book DVC. Yikes! I am so out of it! But at least I am actually training...

ugh. I need to go to bed. But Parenthood is on. I'm totally addicted. However, I have an early morning with Erin. 7:30 am :scared1: What a way to start the day!

Good Morning All!!
Happy Hump Day!

Paula, Great Job on the 2.6 :cheer2: :cheer2:

Kat, how has the shin been?

I am still not awake yet.

Nancy, good luck on that workout this morning.

Meg, GOOD LUCK on your interview!!:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

Have a great day all!!!

Morning!!

E- I check Manchester, Boston and Providence when I look at Southwest. Jetblue had better prices for the flight down and the cheapest flight would have me there around 9:30 am.

Paula- Way to go on the loss and for doing your whole workout without Jesse!

Nancy- I love Parenthood too! Its my ritual to dvr it and watch it Thursday night after work while I rest up for 10pm hockey. I love it! Good luck with your workout tonight.

Thanks for the good luck. I'm nervous but not incredibly nervous, I practiced answering questions last night. I've found interviews for day care jobs come easier to me then when I used to work in an office and had to sell my office skills.

Oh and the new boy, did I mention he lives in Vermont? Well he actually made me an invitation on his computer inviting me up to spend this weekend with him and then emailed it to me. Totally made my day.

Off to work for an hour. Happy Wednesday everyone!

GAH. Just lost a long post.

Meg--good luck with the boy AND the interview!

Nancy--can't wait to hear about the Erin beating.

I'll try to re-type everything else later.

Handle the day Goddess-Style!

oh boy, am I going to be sore tomorrow! Instead of my usual hour, I had a 30 minute intense upper body workout with Erin today, followed by my 4 mile run.

Liz - I just heard Cake's "I'm so sick of you" and it made me think of you. Because it's Cake. And I know how much you like Cake.:upsidedow

Yes! CAKE! Ha--it IS like the old days! :)

Glad you had a good work-out, Nancy. It is going to be a struggle for me to get to the gym today. Weds. is always my crazy day. It starts with Late Start Weds. for the middle and high schoolers. Every Weds. they get a sleep-in day and school doesn't start till 9:15. Which of course means that my day starts later, too. Add to that, Cam has an ortho appt. mid-days and then after school is drum lessons, piano lessons, snowboarding and gymnastics and I get home at 5:30. So. I have an hour between the ortho and piano, so that's what I am aiming for. Let's hope the appointment is on time.

Good morning Goddesses!

Paula - yay on the loss!!!! WOOO HOOO!!!

Nancy - Cake. LOVE Cake, love that you think of me with Cake.

Chips. Well, I ate 'em. And I made a resolution. Ready?

I'm only buying my fav snacks. Last time, I cut out all snacks and replaced with low-cal versions. Made Mr 36 points insane. (Now he'd get like 50, with the new system and all). And frankly, it made the binges easier. So I am keeping snacks in the house, but only ones I LOVE. The good potato chips. The good ice cream. The dark chocolate peanut M&M's. And the real over the stove popcorn, of course. Because when I eat junk, I want it to satisfy.

Those chips last night did not. So I felt unsatisfied and oinky.

E - crazy day lady, 4:15pm talk time, okay? And YES us on the TTA!!!!

My friends started a weight loss challenge. $25, the most percentage of body weight lost by July wins the pot. I'm the heaviest woman on there, but the guys might give me a run for my money. I will smoke all the chicks, though. ;)

MUST exercise today. Gah!

And dinner tonight is homemade pierogi. Thinking about doing a DVD when I get home...baby steps!

Oh, and yes, every post will likely be crazy stream of consciousness.

Gooood morning everyone!

I just have to say I am so PROUD of everyone right now. You are all rocking it. And Paula, you're just amazing :goodvibes You are all such an inspiration to me. Like, in a huge way.

So I stepped on the scale for the first time since the holidays. And-I couldn't believe it, but I'm down to 242.7...that's 14.1 pounds less than my starting weight. It's taken a couple of months...but wow. It hasn't really sunk it that it's FOURTEEN POUNDS. I know some of it is attributed to being so sick I couldn't eat, but I'd like to think that eating well when I DO eat is helping too :)

And-I watched Biggest Loser last night. Wow. Like I'm not emotional enough most of the time. It's so inspiring though, and I set it to DVR from here on out so I don't miss anything this time. I can't believe it's taken me until now to watch this show.

My body---oy. This week has been just as bad as the last one. This flu like stuff is still here, and I'm really wondering whether or not it's the meds. I have my follow up today with the gi doctor and I'll talk to him about it then and see where we can go from here.

I hope everyone's having a fantastic week. Keep up the great work!!!!

Paula- YAY on the loss!

E- how do you keep track of which kid needs to be where when? Crazy! the middle schools here start at like 930 or 10 every day of the week. I see them getting dropped off in our neighborhood like 430 or 5. It seems so late to me.

Kat-UGH on traveling. The hockey part should be good right?

Meg- update ASAP on the interview and the boy!

Post partum check went well as expected. Starting to map out my training this afternoon. I'm getting so excited!

I'm going back to work in 2 weeks. About a week and a half earlier than I HAVE to be there, but I need to save some FMLA time for when D and/or Glenn have some surgery this year at some point. I'll be working 2nd shift, so I will be at home with J Cash all day and D when she is not at preschool. That makes me happy. :goodvibes the extra $$ that 2nd shift brings also makes me happy!

I had to run a whole bunch of errands today and was out past my lunch time. I was super hungry so I opted to stop at Subway.

I did not judge the ample woman in line in front of me when she ordered her turkey sub on white bread. Nor did I judge her when she requested bacon and extra cheese. I refrained from rolling my eyes when the only veggie she wanted was "just a little" of the nutritional powerhouse called iceburg lettuce. I'm pretty sure, however, that I let out an audible gasp when she asked for extra mayo AND olive oil. :crazy2:

naturally she only wanted water to drink....

Hi Everyone!

First weigh in after Christmas - I was up 2lb which to be honest Im taking as a win! Considering the amount I ate I was expecting much more!
So that now puts me 4.5lbs away from my target.

Liz you are a woman after my own heart! Tonight for dinner I had Fish & Chips. Real fish & chips from the fish & chip shop. You know why? Because I really really wanted them, so I got them. I'd been to weigh in, I start fresh tomorrow so I had them. They were delicious and now the craving is gone!

Meg - I think Im a little late, but good luck on the interview and the boy!

E, EE, Amy, Nancy, Paula, Jo, Kat, Ronda, Rob, Everyone - Hi!

Im calling out LisaV...LisaV where are you....I have something to tell you.....Grey's Anatomy is starting again tonight! Its the first episode after the shootings!

Oh and Kat - CSI New York starts on Saturday! Yay! Last season ended with Lindsey, Danny and the baby in the bedroom with that T-Shirt Killer (played by Edward Furlong), it all went black and there was a gunshot! :scared1:

I really think I need to watch less TV :rotfl2:

Hope everyone is having a great day :cool2:

I am strange but I really don't like wheat bread at all. Subway, the white bread has 10 less calories than wheat. I try for the fiber part at home, so tend buy the white-wheat varieties.

I have no excuse for the bacon, extra cheese, mayo, and olive oil though. 45 cals in the bacon, 60 in the cheese + 60 in the extra cheese, 110 in the mayo, and 45 in the olive oil. It more than doubles the calories in the sandwich from 280 to 600 and adds 30.5g fat.

If I were going to intake 600 calories, personally? I'd go for a Big Mac or Quarter Pounter, but that's just me.

Geez!!! CSI:NY started back in September for us. It's been a pretty good season so far.

I am completely and totally into the new version of Doctor Who right now...

Long day but so far I am on track. Heading to the gym after work, too, to try out the new shoes!! :yay:

Kat, OMG I am dreaming of a quarter pounder.. I took the girls to McD's yesterday and I got NOTHING. I came home and eat a lean pocket.

Soooooo Glad the work day is over. Now on to the dreadmill..

I hope that I am not out of line by asking this, but did any of you want to plan a dinner or lunch or drinks after the race?

Nancy, maybe she likes being ample. You know? Cause bacon and cheese is not a diet making.

I think up 2lbs is awesome!!! Love fish and chips. Love! Why settle for half-rate ones?

I Tivo'd all Grey's, but have not caught up, so we are nearly in the same place!

Me, too. I'd go right to McDonald's.

Maybe she's not watching her weight. And who the hell puts olive oil and mayo on a sub? Really. It's oil and vinegar or mayo, not both!
