I didn't say it was pretty. I just said I tracked it.

Sorry 'bout that walking cast crap, Kat. I did manage to get a TM run/walk (mostly run) in today. And for cyber monday I ordered myself some new running shoes. yay!
Crashing hard! Ate crap all day thanks to my craptastic schedule. Off to bed with the hopes that tomorrow is a new day and a fresh start.
Just hating the treadmill. That is all.
Plus, Britain has pretty much come to a standstill. Thats right. Snow.
We don't generally get heavy snow fall where I am but its snowed solidly for the past two days, with at least another few days of it! With the windchill its getting down to -20c which is COLD!!![]()
Nancy - hooray for shoes! Where do you get them?
It is amazing what happens when a real night's sleep happens. I am feeling much better and my eating habits reflected that. Not perfect but not crap either so that is a small victory.

I found out an interesting chat with Jesse tonight during my session. I was talking to him about my recent struggles and how I just felt lost and heentioned that I didn't have my fitness friends around me right now so I was 'feeding' off of the unhealthy habits of the people I am hanging out with. Don't get me wrong, my family is great but they are not the most healthiest of people. So - help!!!! I need my fitness peeps back in my life and you all are part of that.
Nancy - LOVE the free returns at runningwarehouse. I've used it a couple of times. I'm in a shoe funk right now. Trying some ASICS, but still feeling a pain in the top of my foot. Do I REALLY need a stability shoe? The running store people seem to think so, but the wear is on the outer part of the sole. I want the question settled before I start ramping up mileage for the marathon. This could get expensive. My GP gave me the name of the ortho that keeps him running. Sigh....
Nancy - back to Christmas cookies... How do I get a really hard icing? I want to make sugar cookies, ice them and bag them for church. I want the icing to *not* stick to its cookie neighbor. Is corn syrup the key?
Dried egg whites. We use 2 TBSP per pound of confectionary sugar in our royal icing. You should be able to find it in the baking aisle at the grocery store - or anywhere that sells Wilton cake making supplies.
Christmas cookie mania has started at work. We make roughly 15 different kinds of cookies for our trays. Today I made Russian Teacakes, a shortbread-style jam thumbprint, chocolate shortbread cookies & chocolate-mint whoopie pies. Gingerbread people dough is all made and chilling, awaiting my arrival tomorrow. Now, if I can only stop myself from sampling all this stuff
I use meringue powder sometimes too, works just as well.
Cathie- good luck with the remainder of your semesterAny luck on a diagnosis yet?
Sorry if I missed something

The interesting thing is, the PT told me (after a nasty bout of plantar fasciitis)that I needed a stability shoe. When I went to NB to get fitted, the sales guy actually tried to talk me OUT of the stability shoe based on my foot analysis. I told him what the PT had said and he agreed immediately, fitted me with the stability shoe and the cushioning insole and I have been blissfully happy.
