All of my gear is laid out. My belly is full and I am settling in for the big day tomorrow. My teammates were awesome at dinner tonight. We all remembered my cousin and agreed that tomorrow's ride would be for him and all the others fighting the fight.
I am blessed to have so many wonderful people to go to for support. I hope you all know that you are definitely part of that group!
Off to sleep for me. I have a race's bummocks to kick tomorrow.
Hope everyone enjoy's their Saturday!!!!! I expect lots of posts with details when I check in tomorrow...

How the wine tasting tonight~
)

I hadn't seen him since August 11th, so it was so wonderful to have him come home! However, last night he and one of his friends got hit head-on by a complete jack a$$ driver. Thankfully (and quite miraculously
) no one was injured. The guy who hit him was driving a modified 1965 Shelby Cobra. He came flying out of a parking lot (clearly attempting to demonstrate his superior driving skills with this rocket of a car) lost control, crossed the center line and hit my son who was driving MY car.
Thankfully Seth saw him coming, slammed on the brakes (whilst cursing a blue streak apparently) and tried to avoid the guy. The impact was at a very slow speed as a result - the air bags didn't deploy, no bangs, bumps, bruises - just some sore shoulders from the seat belts that locked up. and they were just 2 miles from home. <sigh> so now it's time to deal with insurance, etc, etc. and 3 drivers, 2 cars, kids with all kinds of activities who we now need to juggle driving schedules with....bleh. But, I'm keeping it all in perspective. No one was hurt. And I didn't even yell at the guy for being an idiot.
Yeah.
