In Search of My Body vol.9 - I Get By With A Little Help From My Friends

HAPPY BIRTHDAY PAULA!!!

Jo, yes, I am still in WDW. I leave tomorrow around noon. I believe EE took off today.

Right now I am sitting on the Boardwalk balcony for a few minutes before getting ready for dinner at Narcoosee's.

I think that we are going to explore other times of year, after this trip. The crowds are no longer as minimal as they once were, and it really was HOT this year.

Next year we may do a F&W trip instead.

I HATE THE COLLEGE APPLICATION PROCESS :headache:

sorry for the outburst. Go back to what you were doing......

HAPPY BIRTHDAY PAULA!!!!

Just got home from a night out with my friend Leslie. We had dinner, went to Barnes and Noble then saw the new Drew Barrymore/Justin Long movie. After a weekend of babysitting and trying to deal with jerky guys I needed a night like this. The movie was really cute and Leslie is such a supportive friend, I really need to hang out with her more often.

Oh and babysitting last night, the parents just talk to me so weirdly and the kid is a bit odd but $50 for three hours, its hard to say no to that.

Jo- Great job on the 5k. Are you making sure you get some rest days in there?

Nancy- Feeling any better now? I tried sparkpeople and I can't remember now what turned me off about it. I track using an app on my iphone so that way it's always with me. I even have it set to remind me to log my food if I don't.

Aimee and Kat- Can't wait for trip reports and there had better be trip reports.

Ok I'm off to listen to some chilling out music and to read the Runners World I picked up today.

Happy Monday everyone! :goodvibes

Meg - I don't have an iphone, so, no apps for me  I really liked that sparkpeople does all the counting for me so I don't have too. And at the end of the day when I asked it to show me how I did, my pie chart thingy that showed my distribution of calories vs. what is recommended was spot on!:thumbsup2

EE - Sorry 'bout the whole "back to reality" crap that you must be feeling!

Heading out for a bike ride before work. I have a super busy day today but I'm determined to stick to my food plan. I don't have much choice. All my jeans are too tight right now

Question, I have never seen illiumination. Was thinking dinner res then the show. Should o do it Friday or Sunday and where should I eat? Was thinking Mexican or habatti (sp) ok I have not dinned anywhere in epcot

Nancy - I have pulled out my food tracker as well to kick my growing bummocks back into shape! We are in this together so get your whistle out as I am going to need some help getting back on the wagon.

Jo - food choices at Epcot... There are many good ones so go with what kind of food you like. And a big yes to seeing Illuminations!

Typical Monday here. My stomach is still a bit off but is holding it's own. Off to JC and then the gym tonight. Hopefully, I will make it through with no issues. Keep your fingers crossed for me.

sorry for the double post.posting from phone.

Paula hope all is well for u tonight. I have not tracked my food.. its been pretty, ugly

Jo- I've been meaning to let you know about the Princess. So my cousin (without me knowing because I swore to myself I'd never do a race with her again) signed up for the Princess. So even if my family doesn't go I'll be room with her. BUT in the next few days I'll know more about if its just her and I or my whole family. Either way you'll have to let me know what dinners and things you plan to do that weekend.

Nancy- I might have to check out spark people. I bet they have some sort of program for the iphone, most sites do now. How'd the bike ride go? I bet you'll be back in those jeans before you know it.

Paula- Hope you start feeling better. Depending on the issues sometimes working out can make my stomach feel better. Let us know how JC goes.

So I felt really lightheaded and weak this morning. (Maybe because I didn't finish my breakfast but I didn't feel hungry.) Thank god it's nap and I finally got a chance to sit down and eat. I feel better now that I've had some food and just zoned for bit. It was not a good feeling at all.

Hi everyone,

Feeling a bit better today. My tummy was a little funky at lunch but seems to be better now. Had an awesome workout with Jesse tonight. He has me on an endurance track to get me primed for the ride so it meant lots of reps with little rest. Some of my muscles were quivering towards the end but I felt strong tonight.

JC went well - I was down 2.9 pounds. Whoo Hoo!!! Now I just need to maintain the loss... lol

Off to get a few things done before crashing. Hope you are all doing well tonight.

Congrats on the loss Paula! And on the great workout. Forward momentum :thumbsup2

I'm on day 2 of tracking on sparkpeople. So far, so good. I seem to be right on target with food, the balance is good, etc. I had a decent bike ride today. Not fabulous - I felt a bit sluggish. About 10 miles into it, it occured to me just why my legs seemed heavy. I RAN yesterday. I probably ran twice all summer so my leg muscles were definitely awakened.

Tomorrow morning I meet with Erin  Wish me luck folks. I have a feeling that she's going to beat me to a pulp!

I've been pondering this one a bit. I think there are a lot of opinions out there on Illuminations. Definitely something everyone should experience at least once. But, IMO, you need to have a decent spot to watch from or else it just losses so much. If you could score an ADR at Rose and Crown with patio viewing that would be amazing.

As for the other restaurants - we've enjoyed most of them there. We personally adore Le Cellier. And Chefs de France. And Restaurant Marrakesh is fun with the belly dancers....there are just so many different options to choose from!

Great Job being down lb's Paula

I agree with you both Nancy and Paula I went on WDW.com last night and I could not pick a place at Epcot. I did pick Lunch at the Plaza, in MK one day. Right now I am thing I may just wing it. I also picked dinner at Mamma Melrose, I have never been there either.

I am getting so exctied.

Paula- Way to go on the workout and the loss!! :thumbsup2 You are kicking butt right now.

Nancy- Hope you survive your meeting with Erin. How do your legs feel two days out from the run?

Jo- It feels like the Princess is so far away but I'm thinking it will be here before we know it! The more you talk about ADRs the more I want to whip my family into shape with trip planning.

Have I mentioned I don't know how to ride a bike? Listening to all you women talk about bike riding makes me so jealous. I'm totally in riding distance from my work.

Guess I better get moving. Have a great Tuesday everyone!

**Oops sorry - posted on the wrong thread. How the heck did that happen?**

Boy, it's amazing how you look differently at that cookie, or chocolate or unhealthy snack once you start looking at the calories you burn on the treadmill. It's a lot easier to put something back when you equate it to an extra 20 min. on the treadmill. :scared1:

It took the kids getting back to school and our house back into routine to get me back on track with my exercising - 3 times / week weights @ home and 3 times / week on treadmill. I just hope my back co-operates and I can keep it up. I've been getting in a ton of walking to - to work and back, church, grocery store, etc. Trying to keep my van parked as much as possible!

Need to start writing down everything I eat and see where I should cut back.

My answer for the QOTD (BTW, hope you're feeling better cclovesdis)- If I had $100 to spend right now on myself I'd buy some cool exercise clothes. For some reason I feel more motivated working out in something other than a baggy t-shirt and shorts.

Thanks! I'm headed out to meet her now. And my legs? They're a bit heavy feeling. I ran Sunday then biked yesterday, so lots of hard work on their part!

Have I mentioned I don't know how to ride a bike?

Seriously? You would LOVE it. It's so much fun!

I don't know, but you are welcome to join us! :goodvibes And I must completely agree with your assesment of calories vs. treadmill time. Really makes me think twice about what naughty little treats I'm about to pop into my mouth! :rolleyes1

Good luck today Nancy with the training.

Have a good day at work meg. BTW. I only bike around the block with the girls
