In Search of My Body vol.9 - I Get By With A Little Help From My Friends

There is a chance I might be going straight from here to San Antonio on Sun night/Mon AM, though.

I adore San Antonio. Great city.

What time does your race start on Sunday?

Its going good! Ive tracked everyday, stuck to my points and done a minimum of 30 minutes exercise everyday!
Im struggling with the water, but im drinking a little more every day. Slow and steady!

:thumbsup2 Awesome Kelly! I love the feeling of being "on". which I'm currently not. But heck. Summer won't last forever, right? :confused3

EE - yay on the ADR's. Jealous here, but of course you know that

Paula - bike update please :goodvibes

Meg - yoo hooo! Where are you :confused3

Ronda - missing you too :flower3:

Jo - what did you decide about the running club? If you told us, I missed it

I have never been. I still might be going, but it looks like I definintely get to go back to Raleigh first. Anyhow, for some reason it is cheaper to fly from Raleigh to San Antonio (even through Chicago), then it is to fly from Chicago to San Antonio? :confused3

The race starts at 6:30 but I am in corral 25 () so likely won't cross the start line until 7. Bib number is 25056. You can track online but it's a few dollars. I will FB as soon as I am done, and will try to post here later in the day but not sure if I will be able to (or be sober enough!!).

At football practice and it's hot. The boys are running now. The joys of motherhood.

Hi...

Feel like I just got kicked in the stomach tonight. After a long 12 hour craptastic day at work, I get home and my mom calls. She tells me that my cousin who is battling leukemia is nit doing well and it doesn't look good. This is the cousin that I am doing the bike ride for and I am not sure how I am going to deal with this ride if we lose him. We just buried his sister in March, I can't imagine going through this again. So this weekend is a quick trip to CT to visit Joe. Sighing...

Kat - I am so pumped for your race on Sunday. Enjoy every minute of it and be sure to fill us in when you can.

Kelly - yeah, things are going well!!! You will get there with the water. Keep drinking it and soon you will be missing it when you are not drinking enough.

Nancy - sorry that the four lettered word has come back into your life. At least you have legs right? As for the bike, I pick it up on Thursday. Assuming I don't kill myself getting used to the cleats, I'll take it out for it's first long ride on that Saturday.

Jo - look at you go with your workouts! Whoo hoo... The headaches - are these new? Have them only when working out or all the time? When I first started working out, I used to get killer headaches about ten minutes in. Jesse told me that they may have had something to do with the spike in my blood pressure from working out. After about two months they stopped. Strange, yes but it made sense at the time. Keep an eye on them and take care.

Off to catch up on some stuff sriund the house. I'll post food later as it is a good incentive to not go crazy and snack...

Paula, I'm so, so sorry to hear that your cousin isn't doing well. :grouphug: Thoughts and prayers going out for your entire family.

Paula - I'm sorry. I hope this is a case of bad days and that he feels better quickly. Thoughts, prayers, and pixie dust to your family.

Here is my food for the day:

b - bagel w/ cream cheese, green tea and a plum
l - dry grilled cheese sandwich (made on a panini machine w/ no butter) & sun chips
s - peach and a choc chip cookie
d - salad and jc turkey dinner entree
s - jc brownie and strawberries

I am neat so it is off to bed for me!

Mornin' All! :sunny:

It's absolutely glorious here this morning! I'll be headed out soon for a bike ride before work. It has become painfully apparent in the last week the levels to which my exercise has diminished and my food intake has increased - and now my clothes are telling the world that I've been slacking and relaxing just a bit too much! :rolleyes1

Kat - I keep thinking "corral 25"! That's alotta corrals. And I'm sure there are plenty more after you too. How many people are in this race?

Nancy, I so right there with you with eating,
can you say Gyro for dinner :confused3:rolleyes1
Yes some how my brain thinks if I run I eat. I have to work on that...:rotfl:
have a good bike ride

Good morning. TGIF even though I work tomorrow morning. I can't wait to run again. Just a few more days until my stitches are out.

Paula, SO sorry about your cousin.

I know!! :scared1: And that is with an estimated 2:40 finish (which is doubtful, but a girl can dream).

I am not sure how many people are in the race. Evidently a ton. It appears they number your bib by corral though, as I am 25056, so there may be skipped numbers?

Okay, off to the expo. I will probably check in later, but this is where the weekend starts getting busy. :)

ummm. I all I have to say is China Buffet, with all you can eat Crab Legs

I think I am going to be sick. UGGGGGG.

Uh oh! Watch out Jo! Sorry you are stuffed.

I found some great shoes tonight. Yay! Watching Say Yes to the Dress. Living vicariously, I guess. Even if I was planning on marrying anytime soon, I would not want a wedding like some of these girls are planning. I would rather have a huge down payment, lol. Elope, I say!

Wow! That is a great price and having child care right there is super.
I just have to post this.

I called on that running club from the park dist. and get this $35.00 from Aug-Jan, I get to use their gym, they have lap pool, indoor track and everything else, and the best part, is they have child care. $1.50 per kid.
So even if DH works and its a long run I can go!!!!! I am so unbelievably happy!!!!!

information meeting Aug 2, I can't wait!!!

Sorry to interrupt you programming, I just could not help myself!

Glad to hear she is ok. That had to be scary.
Antiboitic eye ointment and off we went. She seriously asked the Dr. for an eye patch pirate: which was hilarious. Alas, no eye patch though (boo!) She's still asleep, I'm struggling to find the energy to plod my way thru the day <bleh>
