In Search of My Body vol.9 - I Get By With A Little Help From My Friends

oh and I'm starting yet another new painting project. Nate's room. We picked the color scheme today, I'll go to Home Depot tomorrow for paint chips so we can make the final call. He leaves Sunday for a week, and that's the time to get it done. :thumbsup2

I thought you almost had your whole house done? No? :)

Nancy - yes, the pb pie was part of famy dinner. I can't resist pb and insisted that it go home with others or be thrown out so it is now gone from the house. I can only hope that the new bike will help.

E - miss you... Just sayin'

EE - glad you made it through. That sounds like quite an ordeal.

Work is kicking my butt this week. One meeting after another so now I sit down to actually catch up on my paperwork. Got a great workout in so that was good. Jesse killed my arms so it will be interesting if I can actually move them tomorrow.

Food for the day:
b - JC cereal w/ skim milk and green tea w/sugar
l - ham sandwich on rye w/ mustard and sun chips (lunch with boss)
s - Luna bar (pre workout)
d - jc pizza and escarole w/ oil and vinegar
s - not sure yet. It will depend on if I am hungry later or not

so that is it with me... Exciting huh?

What is escarole? I could look it up but I'm lazy. How do you cook it (assuming you do)?

Which Luna Bar? I am so addicted to my Kashi go lean lately.

Nancy, have fun painting.

I was reading this thread on Sunday while eating Taco Bell and drinking beer...

Food for today (adding in dt soda consumption for a change):
B: 1/2 cup kashi, almond milk (75), coffee
L: Progresso RF NE clam chowder cup (220), salad (50), 1 can coke zero
S: 1/2 cup kashi, almond milk (75)
D (in the oven): 2 4 oz chicken breasts (220), smothered in canned green chilis (10), chopped mushrooms/zucchini/green pepper/onion/jalapenos/lime/cilantro/sw chipotle seasoning/salsa (30), and cheese (50), 1.5 servings ff refried beans (125), 1 whole wheat locarb tortilla (70), 1 can diet rite

Total, 925 (oops)
Water, 96 oz
Exercise, 30 min on elliptical and 1 hr yoga - 2 xtraining days done

Kat - escarole is a green leafy veggie. It is a bit on the bitter side. You can sauté it but I ate it like a salad tonight.

I had the cranberry and nut Luna bar. Yum

back to work for me...

I treated myself to half of a dark chocolate almond and sea salt bar. It was with every calorie. Plan on looking closer at Ipad's this weekend. I'm very uncomfortable, especially the really big one that is actually two. Medicated with ibuprofen - hope I can sleep.

Morning Alll

Paula, back to work after 8PM???:hug:

EE, Hope you got some sleep

Kat, your dinner sounded great

Nancy, DH would say its time to move rather than paint!:rotfl:

Hi Ronda, Lisa, E, Kelly, Meg
Happy Thursday..... Almost FRIDAY :yay:

Just back from a fabulous bike ride! :goodvibes It's a beautiful morning here -warm, sunny, breezy, and the humidity is GONE :woohoo: (well, just for today, but heck. I'll take it)

Paula. I find myself more and more in awe of you and this century ride. Seriously. No pressure or anything but you are my hero! So, what I was thinking today is - not only will your new bike give you a smoother "faster" ride on the road, but if you get the cycle shoes (really. They aren't that scary.) you get the benefit of the added power in your up-stroke while pedalling, rather than simply in the down-stroke. It makes a huge difference, IMO, especially on hills.

EE - how are you today?

Lisa - WHERE are you today?

Kelly - how's life on the other side of the pond?

Kat - what's your mileage plan for this weekend?

Meg, Erika, Ronda ? hello? are you out there? :confused3

Yeah, we found it for you. 89 at 10:30AM with 65% humidity and a heat index of 100. Whee. Only supposed to hit 99 today. :sad2:

I completely agree with Nancy, Paula... so impressed.

Mileage. Well, running club has 10 miles planned on Sat (high of 101!). I was planning on just doing 2 miles at lunch today on the tm, slow and easy, and then doing the 10 miles with the group but maybe in the 13 pace group. Then next week, 2 miles on Tues and nothing else until race day.

Any suggestions?

I'm miserable today. Went in just to open and left when Bethany came in (other sup in dept). I won't go into details, but it is hurting quite a bit. Using today as a lay around the house day.

I did it, I registered for the 1/2 :yet:

No turning back now!

I can not THANK YOU ALL enough. I have never done anything for myself. I have always wanted to, but I have put my girls and DH first always.
I have gained so much personal strengthen while being on this thread, Thank You.

I still have a long way to train, but as I said before I will run/walk, crawl, or inchworm to the finish if I have to.

Thank you for giving an over weight mom of 2 myself esteem back. !!!!

And in other (random) news, I made myself the nicest, biggest salad for lunch today - for just 2 WW points! I used lettuce, spring onion, green pepper, celery, tomato, then I weighed some pasta for 1 WW point and threw in a can of WW tuna mayo with sweetcorn! It was so nice and I stayed full until I came home from work!

The reason for the salad was I went to the market near work and bought a huge bag of salad for just £1!! Thats about $1.50! It was so big I halved it with my mum and Ive still got enough for lots more salads!

Hope everyones having a great day! :cool2:
