In Search of My Body vol.9 - I Get By With A Little Help From My Friends

I hate cancer too. One interviewee is a no show. Too bad for them that I have a memory like a steel trap.

Run meeting was great, very excited, a little nervous, I know I can't make it to all of the time but I can't wait to get started.

Awesome Jo! I'm betting you will really enjoy it once the group gets going in full swing!

JC - up .4 pounds, meh... Today was my first workout since last Wednesday. Can we say I feel like a total slug. Hopefully, tomorrow is a better day.

 I hope today is a better day for you too! Are you able to get back on track with workouts this week? You know how much effect they have on both the physical and mental well being.:upsidedow

EE - still want to go to FL with you all. Guess my trip to Vegas will have to do.

? um, wait. Vegas? :confused3

I was so WOWed by the money savings Amiee. I can't believe that your trip is almost here. Unbelievable how time flies.

WORD! to all of that

I know I said I probably won't be around as often a couple of weeks back - but my Lord comedy central will lure me no doubt. :rotfl2:

Well, we want you back. 'Cause we miss you when you are away :flower3:

I am SO sore today. Like, the first 4-6 steps after I get up from sitting more than 5 minutes are agony, especially in the left shin and right hip. I loosen up after 2-3 min of walking and it isn't so bad, though.

yuck. Did you bring your biofreeze with you? And are in in San Antonio proper or outside of town? Doing touristy stuff at all? Did I mention how much I enjoyed San Antonio? ;)

HI! OMG. Where do I begin....

OMG that exhausted me reading it  The chaos of life that keeps us busy. I'm so glad that it's a relatively *good* chaos though. Once the kids get back to school and schedules get more predictable I hope we see you more. We miss you! :lovestruc

Sorry I haven't been around, work had me so stressed and then I was away in the woods so that sort of explains my lack of posting.

Literally in the woods? As in, like hiking, camping in the woods?

Today is my second day latte free. HEADACHE!

ugh. Caffeine withdrawls? :headache:

Had a killer bike ride today. It's hot. And extremely windy. Like a fall wind that I would expect in October. Swirling, strong, always-in-your-face and never at your back kind of wind. It was like riding in a convection oven

Time for a shower then it's off to do some back to school shopping with Seth who leaves a week from tomorrow :sad1:

I want to go to Vegas with you too Paula. I can't remember where you said you are staying. The Bellagio is sticking out in my mind.

Nancy, great job on the windy bike ride. :worship:
I would of given up.

EE, Maybe I will quit my Coke so I can have withdrawal with you!!
Just not today!:rotfl2:

Vegas, Someone say Vegas. I have never been, so Paula you must post a trip report!! Have fun.

I have that bad headache back again, and I have had my Coke so I don't know what's up. UGG I just want to crawl in bed. But wait I have my first speed training tonight, and just for fun after they run the bleachers.

If I stay on track with the group I may not be a fattybutterpants anymore:lmao:

trust me. The thought had entered my head. But I was so far away from home that it wouldn't have done me any good. I had serious words with myself, and in the end just gutted it out.

But wait I have my first speed training tonight, and just for fun after they run the bleachers.

 Just for fun.

Humidity is rising. gross.

I almost forgot.....

Kelly, Patrick Dempsey was about 20 min. away from my house this weekend.
Some fancy car race. They showed him on the news he said he was having a blast. My teen age sitter worked that race but she did not see him.

Literally in the woods? As in, like hiking, camping in the woods?

One room cabin in the woods on a lake. Used to be a boy scout camp but now they rent out cabins to families. No hot running water, there's a shower house for people staying there and hot water runs out quick. The closest real super market is 45 minutes away. It's not camping but it's out there.

Been going there my whole life and I love it. I love the lack of technology and the wild life. Ever seen a black owl, a moose and a skunk the size of a dog in one week? I have.

Ok back to my reading.

yuck. Did you bring your biofreeze with you? And are in in San Antonio proper or outside of town? Doing touristy stuff at all? Did I mention how much I enjoyed San Antonio? ;)

No biofreeze.

We are staying somewhere outside of San Antonio, and all I am seeing is a heck of a lot of the inside of a hospital.

Basically what we are doing this week is going through each floor and marking the placement of every electrical outlet, on a set of maps. It's far from glamourous and is very tiring.

One interviewee is a no show. Too bad for them that I have a memory like a steel trap.

I have a memory like a steel trap, and a BIG mouth. Plus, I know a LOT of people in my industry in my area, and I am not shy about blacklisting you with everyone I know. ;)

OMG! It's flipping hot! 105 right now (heat index included). I'm at football practice and really wish I had shorts on.

Kat- I so wish these weren't entry level jobs. I would love to blacklist NCNSers to everybody.

Nancy - August is national goat cheese month. Just had to share that, lol.

Back later for a real post (unless I melt first).

I'm :stitch::stitch: free! !

:cool1:

Sounds....fun? :confused3 :lmao: Really. It does sound like fun. Close to camping without actually having to tent it.

No biofreeze.

DOH! :headache:

bleh. You must get out. San Antonio is such a fabulous city!!!

huh. I was unaware of that little tidbit. Thanks for sharing! :goodvibes

humid here too EE! we gave in and turned on the "summer cheat machine" tonight. (a/c in case you hadn't guessed ;))

I want to go to Vegas with you too Paula. I can't remember where you said you are staying. The Bellagio is sticking out in my mind.

Oh I wish I was staying at the Bellagio. I am heading to Vegas over Labor Day weekend for my best friend from college's wedding. He is marrying a wonderful woman and the trip should be a blast. We are staying at the Green Valley Ranch which is off the strip. The pool area is fabulous and I plan on planting myself there for mist of the trip to relax. Lord knows I need to do that.

I do have a question for all you mani-pedi experts. Is there some rule about the color of your toes matching your nails? I want to get one before the trip and need to puck colors. I am wearing black to the wedding w/ funky gold accessories and am clueless about nail colors. Suggestions are welcome.

Food was just awful today. Was woken up early weigh a problem at work and it was downhill after that. Tomorrow I am off to CT to visit my cousin in the hospital with my mom. It will be a rough day, but he wants some company so hopefully we can cheer him up while we are there.

Off to bed for me. Talk to you all later.

Paula - hugs

As far as nail color, I usually go with something bright or out there for my toes because I get nail art on my big toe. Once I did a pale blue/silver with a sunset scene. Currently, I have a frosty brick red with a fireworks scene. I think reds ( dark ones) are hard to go wrong with. Also, they could paint a French for you. Black and gold will match anything you pick. Have fun!

ah, that's right! I'd forgotten that the wedding was in Vegas. Black and gold. nice :goodvibes

 I wish I had some great words of wisdom to share with you Paula. Sadly, I don't. Just know that you all are in my thoughts and prayers. Wave to me as you go by the airport exit, k?

busy, busy, busy today (hah. Cue Professor Hinkle. And if you don't know who Professor Hinkle is, well, humor me )

Hugs to you Paula

As for your nails, I agree with EE, Reds would be very nice,

EE, sunset scene sounds fun. I have not had my nails done in a long while

The heat is here too, yesterday at soccer for 30 mins (cuz we were late due to me flipping out on the sitter) It was so hot I had to leave Alaina in the car running with the AC, then this AM we wake up to a major storm. Take Cover EE I think its coming your way, but it moves fast.

Nancy, how did back to school shopping go? Or did you go see the school. I suck now I can't remember which:confused:

Did not make it to my run club last night DH did not get home in time, I am going tonight!!
