In Search of My Body vol.9 - I Get By With A Little Help From My Friends

I wish I lived close enough to drive. Well we could but it takes about 20 hours. I was able to get a flight for 67 each way from an airport just 30 minuts from my house. usually we fly out of Philly or Newark and they are both over 1.5 hours away.

Thanks, but we never fly to WDW. With airport wait, ME, etc, it's about 5-6 hours door to door to fly.

It's about an 8.5-9 hour drive, and costs $160-200 in gas. For both of us to fly SW + taxes/fees would be more like $225, and might only save 2-3 hours of travel time when all was said and done. Plus, we couldn't bring supplies and such and would have to deal with potential airport delays, cancelled flights, etc.

Welcome Disneybound!

I'm sitting in my parking garage at work eating my eggbeaters. Come on noon! I might try to get a jog in today or at least a walk. I did my normal month end sprint through the department yesterday and it didn't hurt. Yay! I'm eager to get back on track.

Hi All. I am wondering what the speed time is for your runs. I am just starting out with walking and doing 4 miles per hour or a 15 minute mile. Today I did 3 miles for the first time.

That is an awesome pace! That was my walking pace before the half marathon. I just added jogging into mine, so I really don't have a great pace to give you yet. Kat, Nancy, and Erika have awesome paces. I want to say in the 10 minute mile and under range (forgive me ladies if I misspoke). Are you following a training program? What is your goal rate?

I am not sure how many people are in the race. Evidently a ton. It appears they number your bib by corral though, as I am 25056, so there may be skipped numbers?

I'm thinking maybe you were #56 that they assigned to corral "25" - thus the 25056 :confused3 Good luck tomorrow Kat! I'll be cheering for you!

ummm. I all I have to say is China Buffet, with all you can eat Crab Legs

I think I am going to be sick. UGGGGGG.

:scared1::lmao::lmao: oh, Jo. Too much of a good thing :lmao:

 That's me too. Of course I could drive. I just have absolutely zero desire to. zero.

Although if it came to a "drive or don't go at all" throw down? I'd probably go.

nice job!:thumbsup2

Wicked busy weekend. In-freakin-sane. Not bad, not super fun either just nutso. But now, time to make dinner (home made pizza) and enjoy a glass or two (or 3?) of my favorite red beverage! ;)

I am not following any program. Right now my goal was to get into shape and lose some unwanted pounds. I really enjoy walking outside but wish I had a walking buddy so when I decide not to walk a day they would be there to encourage me. I came accross yhour thread here and really enjoyed what you all were sharing and thought I would hang out and see if I fit in. Reading about what your accomplishments are keeps me inspired to get out there everyday. Thanks all.

Happy Saturday ALL

EE, sorry your working on a Saturday. How many more days til your trip??
The kids still don't know right?

So I am better have my mess I call dinner last night, whatever, whats done is done.

Today DH had a police vs fire softball game, POLICE WON!:cool1:
But while they were waiting for the field to get ready, I when to a Running Store a real Running Store, just like Erika told me to do back in December when I started to post here. Well I took the plung $115.00 and I did get s new pair of Real Running Shoes and Socks.

This morning should have been my long run, it was raining out, but I went out anyway, Umm, ya, long run was a short run/walk today only 2 miles and thats it. I know it had something to do with the rain and last nights food.

I hope you all have a great weekend

We have 32 days Jo! :cool1: I'm still trying to figure out how to burn 1 TS for each of us. Thinking about using it as CS at the resort for breakfast. We will have a total of 3, so I can get a big breakfast to split 3 different days.

Saturdays for me is a 4 hour shift, so it's not bad. I have a good group that works on my rotation. We each work a Saturday a month, so not bad.

Disneybound - I use the C25K training program. I'm not up to running the entire way yet, but getting there.

EE, sounds like you are going to be there when Kat is?
your staying at CBR right, I love that place. We had a blast, Other then 1 breakfast at Akersher (sp) we eat all breakfast at CBR counter service.
But we paid out of pocket, I used our dinning credits on lunch and dinner,
I still wonder if the delux dinning would have saved us any money from what you spend in out of pocket breakfast, and the mugs

totally forgot what I was going to say :headache:

:rolleyes1 it's just been one of those days, kwim? :confused3

Anywho. Kat - good luck tomorrow!

Paula - I want to know how the new bike is. And the shoes. But most importantly, your trip to Ct. :grouphug:

Yep, we will be there at the same time. I can't remember if I shared this or not, but I have the HDDR booked out of pocket on top of Cindy's. Oh, I was also planning on late arrival apps at Jiko. I threw in an additional $125 or so and that would have given me the DxDP for 10 days. It made sense. Now, we are able to enjoy quite a few of the Sig's. We are mainly lunching and then having dinner at the Sig's. Once I stop changing plans, I will post them (I'm debating on doubling up on Cali or Jiko and ditching two TS). Aren't I horrible!

Oh, I think you asked earlier. I did spill the surprise, but I have a few more up my sleeve.

Hum, I wonder what time Kat has to be up to make it to the start? Remember when she did that fancy driving and let the monster rental in front of her? :lmao:

Paula - I'm holding out that your cousin was having a bad cancer day. Hugs! And yes, I can't wait to hear about your bike.

Nancy - White or red? :rotfl2:

red.

and for the record, do NOT try to cut Kat off when you are driving. She'll take you down :scared1: :rotfl2:

EE - love hearing about your ressie stuff. So.jealous. right now :lovestruc

Good choice. I'm having a glass of apricot wine. Yum! You can come with us. :cool1: Don't worry, I will pop in to update.

I would never take Kat on in her FJ! Love that truck! I would have never made it in with all that traffic merging.

Swoon! Just finished watching two in a row of Capt Jack. Ahhh Johnny!

Good Morning Everyone!

KAT! Have a FANTASTIC race! :cool1:

I I came accross yhour thread here and really enjoyed what you all were sharing and thought I would hang out and see if I fit in. Reading about what your accomplishments are keeps me inspired to get out there everyday. Thanks all.

On the exercise - the way I see it is that at least you did something! More often than not its easier to say 'Oh, I won't bother today I'll do it tomorrow' so good for you!

Paula - for your cousin and you too

Nancy - Sometimes certain days just call for a few glasses of your favourite red!

EE - Im loving your trip planning, im living vicariously through you!

Everyone - Hi! :flower3:

Well im still tracking - good, bad and ugly! We are having our weigh in this morning instead of tomorrow, my mum is out tomorrow night so I will post the results here :scared1:

That one sounds like fun, We were not able to do that when we went. Maybe to childish for your son?

Kelly - awesome job on the loss!

Kat - can't wait to hear how the race went!

Nancy - I pick up the new wheels on Thursday and can't wait!

Ok off to church and then to get my ride in that I didn't get in yesterday. I'll write a proper post later tonight and update my food for the weekend.
