Hey gang -

I am tired and in a funk tonight. Was in a series of meetings today that ran all day. I didn't even make it to JC tonight because the meetings ran so late. I did get my workout in so that was a plus.

Oh and I am so over the fact that I can have a seemingly good date with a nice guy and then they go and disappear. Ugh... Dating totally sucks at times. Oh well onto the next guy.

I am not giving up on my diet or in dating. Don't these guys realize that I am a goddess? lol

have a great night everyone!

Hi everybody! Just got in from class - 1 more to go then I'm off for a few weeks. :cool1: My group submitted our research proposal and learned the statistics program tonight (very basics of said program).

With that being said, I will be so glad to get back to reality. I love research and could do it as a job, but I wouldn't want to do research on top of my current job. Make sense? I'm a little looney. I'm still getting my miles in, but my eating could be alot better.

Kat - buffalo cheese dip??? Kiudos on the 12's!

Paula - I hate dating too.

Nancy - I'm sorry that you are pissy! Did I share that I am visiting a winery AND Jungle Jim's? Great wines! I am trying to get a Challenger. My agent is working on it (love Enterprise).

Kelly - Thanks!!

Jo - depending on the direction, 3 1/2 hours (with HWY 41 - yuck!!) or 4 hours if we go through Louisville. It Louisville is winning because of the winery and an outlet mall on I-65.

E - have you recovered from Eclipse? Was channeling you tonight when we were going over our Social Science research number crunching program.

Megan - so sorry you have blisters. I agree - SOCKS! I'm a convert. Did you feel that earthquake just now?!?

Lisa - :wave2:

E and Kat- It's most likely the socks and I know I shouldn't be wearing socks with cotton. I just don't know what socks I can get. Suggestions? Ones that come in very small sizes for very small feet? Like the socks I wear now are boys socks and are the perfect fit for me.

Kat- Amazing job on the loss! You go girl. I wish we lived closer because I'm about to get rid of a ton of size 10 summer clothes. So Kat here's my question about the almond milk, does it taste like regular milk?

Oh Paula, boy do I ever feel you on all this. I feel like there's so much I could share but I'd end up taking over this thread with stories about my recent dates. Don't give up!

Oh and day two of no ice cream in the books!

Hi Kelly, Nancy and EE!

Work is really starting to wear me down, I'm not sure how much longer I can deal with some of this. Ugh and I don't dare vent any where public and I really need to vent.

On the positive side I've run a race every month since March so I'm going to try to continue that and run at least one race every month till next March and next March I will run the same race I ran this past March. I am going to do more shorter distances but include a half in the fall and then run the Princess. I realized races keep me motivated to keep running, they make me want to eat healthy so I do well in them and they make me happy. So why not do a year of races? We'll see how it goes.

Nancy, sorry for the cranky. Hope the wine made it better.

It did. I was just over-the-edge crabby about a whole lotta little crap.

Food for today:
B: Egg thingie (60),

 Love that. I write things like that in my journal too. Well, that is when I'm keeping my journal :rolleyes1

Don't these guys realize that I am a goddess?

WORD!

Sorry 'bout the funk and those endless meetings. ick. I hope they don't interfere with Family Dinner Night!

I'm a little looney.

:lmao: I think I've gone a LOT looney lately

I'm still getting my miles in, but my eating could be alot better.

Good news on the miles. My eating doesn't necessarily need to be *better* it just needs to be LESS!

Megan - so sorry you have blisters. I agree - SOCKS! I'm a convert. Did you feel that earthquake just now?!?

 ah yes. Socks. Remember when I pulled that fresh clean pair of dual layer socks outta my bag after the princess? As I recall they made someones feet very happy :goodvibes

E and Kat- It's most likely the socks and I know I shouldn't be wearing socks with cotton. I just don't know what socks I can get. Suggestions? Ones that come in very small sizes for very small feet? Like the socks I wear now are boys socks and are the perfect fit for me.

We all have our favorites. Mine are Wright Dual Layer. Google them, their website will list dealers. I also have some New Balance that are nice.

So why not do a year of races? We'll see how it goes.

awesome goal Meg!

It's nasty humid here again today. Heading out for a bike ride before things get too harsh. Then more painting projects to be done.

Kat, way to go on the weight!! So happy for you.
you have to tell me about the dip and the protein powered.

Nancy Sorry about the bad day! Super Hot here to.

Paula, sorry about the funk.

EE, We go to see DH's mom and dad in KY and drive around Indy. I always ask to stop at the big outlet mall, but he takes the bypass around. UGG!! Men.

No workout Sunday or Monday. I to get something in tonight. DH is back on days so he is home more often, and I just can't get into the basement.

Happy Tuesday! 4 more days til the weekend:lmao:

Bike ride done. Hitting the pool for some laps.

ok. Not laps, but a float on the tube perhaps

Thanks for the offer, but remember, I am 5'8"?? You and E are in the wee club. :) Although, I do have some of E's castoff t-shirts in my closet.

Socks. I get mine at TJ Maxx or Ross. Not sure if they will have the same stuff in boy's sizes though. I usually get men's socks since I have big old feet (size 10 women, size 8-8 1/2 mens) and I wear men's running shoes anyhow.

I actually just got more yesterday, new balance cushion dual-layer, $5 for 2 pair at Ross. I like new balance best, so far.

I also got a techwear singlet and mesh running shorts at Target for about $15 total.

Fall half... OBX?? ;)

Kat, way to go on the weight!! So happy for you.
you have to tell me about the dip and the protein powered.

Thanks!

The dip is Archer Farms (Target brand) Buffalo Cheese Dip. It's 40 cals in 2 tbsp. They have a lot of different flavors, white queso is only 30 cals in 2 tbsp, and there is a Cheese and Bacon as well.

The protein powder is South Beach Tide Me Over. It's 30 cals in a little sleeve, 5g fiber and 3g protein I think. My lunch errand took too long, and I was starving and cranky and had one in my car, so I poured it into some water and whee. Tastes sorta icky but gets rid of the hunger for a bit.

OH! I forgot. Almond milk. I am not sure if it tastes like cow's milk, but I know that it's a lot better than soy milk.

I don't really drink cow's milk... just in cereal, coffee, and in things. I was borderline lactose intolerant growing up and so I associate plain milk with bad things.

It's probably dependent on your taste, but I would give it a try. The unsweetened original that I bought yesterday is actually only 30 cals in a cup. I am not sure if it would be good in say, a cheese sauce, but it is definitely good on cereal and in coffee. :)

Btw, Nancy, I didn't know you had a pool? :confused3

EE, 15 years I have been driving past that mall, once every summer, he tells me the same thing, "maybe on the way back".. Well, Yep, have not been there yet. Maybe next year !!!:rotfl2:

Kat, I must get that dip, sounds great, on the powder, how long does it keep you full? If I had with my morning oatmeal, could it help keep my full til lunch?
Morning is my worst time.

Nice Nancy, just float in the pool while the rest of us sorry folks are hard at work. :lmao::rotfl2::lmao::rotfl2:

It kept me okay until I ate lunch? I really don't like the strawberry banana flavor I have, but I am not a huge fan of strawberry flavor anyhow so you might like it. :)

I find that the Kashi Go Lean Original so far has been good for filling me up as a bfast food or really, a go-to in any hunger situation. 140 cals in 1 cup and it has 13g protein and 9g fiber.

I agree with Jo, just float in the pool. :rotfl: :rotfl:

Kashi Go Lean is a cereal.

I avoid all of the Fiber One Crunch and Kashi Crunch and such because all they add is sugar and calories. They probably do taste better but right now I am more concerned with protein, fiber, and calorie intake. :)

SO, I got my 6 month "checkup" measure and body fat done at the gym at lunch. I have lost 8.5" around my waist and 1" around my calves, and my thighs have stayed the same. Pumpkin on stilts anyone? Also, I lost 8% body fat.

Plus, I did 3 miles in 32:45. :)

Btw, Nancy, I didn't know you had a pool? :confused3

yep we do. Nothing super fancy - just your standard above ground, round with an over-engineered deck

I have that for breakfast almost every single day. 1 WW point per serving. I typically have fruit on top (berries, peaches, whatever is in season). Add 1/2 cup 1% milk and my whole breakfast is 3 points.

I have lost 8.5" around my waist

OMG. :scared1: First of all - I didn't have my glasses on and I'm squinting and squinting thinking IS THAT AN EIGHT?????!!!!!! :scared1: Is that an effin' eight? :rotfl2:

Kat, that's so wonderful.

And I must say I AM SO INCREDIBLY JEALOUS. It's very difficult for me to lose anything off my waist. Just not my body type. SO JEALOUS.

That is a monumental loss and you should be so proud of yourself.

and 1" around my calves

Yes I'm going to do them one by one because they so deserve they're own little special box! :lmao:

That is HUGE. One inch is huge around the calves.

My legs sometimes get larger with exercise. Yes I'm bitter.

Yeah Kat! :yay:

my thighs have stayed the same. Pumpkin on stilts anyone?

On these two - ONE I bet your thighs look COMPLETELY different though, yes?

And lose the pumpkin on stilts because it's not longer true, right? How the he!! can you still be a pumpkin on stilts when you're waist is down over eight friggin' inches? Eh? Huh? How missy? Last time I looked my pumpkins didn't have a sucked in middle. :goodvibes
