Quick post, on phone! Ok sportband. You have to press it, walk, then press it again. I didn't get that. I pressed it, it said walk, I thought it was working! But no. I should really read more carefully!
 
E - spoons, PJs and ice cubes were mentioned by a local weather guy this week. I'd never heard of it until then.

We had snow Monday. Now it's brutal cold. Zero and windy for a few nights. I need a GOOD reason to open the door.

Three words plagued me today - peanut butter cake! Made it for my PRoject Engineer's birthday and then used it to deal with an emotionally overloaded day. Sigh...

So ladies and Rob. We are ordering race shirts. Does anyone want one? The front will say "Team Goddess" and the back will say "It's not about winning, it's about finishing...with a little help from my friends". They come in many sizes and I can post the link to check sizes. They are great for anything! Although maybe not for a guy. Goddess and all! Sorry! :rolleyes1. But if you want one, I would think that was very brave! I could get one without the Team Goddess, I bet.

Ok, so I *finally* registered for the race! :rotfl2:

Ok, hotel stuff--SSR is NOT a host resort but OKW is. I can switch us. Do we care?

Benefits of OKW = transportation to race from hotel. We don't have to drive/park, etc. The 2-BR units are GINORMOUS. By far the largest on property. Walking distance to DTD.

Cons of OKW = it's well...old. Oldest of the DVCs and is starting to show its age. Smaller pool (which I guess doesn't matter?), less food options.

I need help with the sizing I am thinking XL but do they run small to the fit

Jo--nope, they don't run small at all. I have *really* broad shoulders and usually wear a Med. in regular clothes/shirts. I went with the Large because a running shirt for me has to be a bit roomy (I don't like it clinging to me) and I am always worried about shirts fitting me in the shoulders. The L had more than enough room. So I would say you can order true to size.
 
Tomorrow I attempt the 8 miler. And OF COURSE it will be outside, Nancy! OMG, I cannot do the TM. And if the roads haven't been properly cleared yet, I will swap with Friday's workout and run then. ANYTHING to avoid the TM!

Today I had an appointment with Erin - upper body strength. It was awesome, except I think I pulled a pec (which is in itself funny, because if it swells I'll actually have b00bs. Or, b00b because it's only on one side:laughing:) It tweaked during the workout, but didn't *hurt*. Now that i'm done, it hurts. In a big way.

Anywhoo. The TM. I also did an hour on the TM this morning and I went back to the walk/run intervals to see how they'd feel. Very good news in that arena. I did W2/R4 for an hour - going for time not distance. I did 5.58 miles in the 60 minutes AND not one single tweak from my hip flexor the entire time. Usually the hip flexor starts to bother me around the 6 mile mark so maybe I just didn't go long enough, but just maybe it was happier with the walk/run.
 
Oh! Tiaras! We can't forget about tiaras! Jo and Meg--do you have one? Last year I ran the entire 13.1 with a tiara on my head! Others just put theirs on after the race, but I am a Goddess to the core! Ha! :rotfl2:
