In Search of My Body vol.9 - I Get By With A Little Help From My Friends

Jo, that's awesome!

At car dealership. Starving. Wonky sensor on car. What are you all making for dinner?

My feet are wide, huge, and flat. So flat that I would leave an entire wet footprint.

I wear men's, though, so that helps with the wide, and the ASICs work for me due to big wide toe box. I also need as much stability and arch support as you can get.

To answer Nancy's question, I am SO SO happy to have the darn aircast off. Haven't really been able to train as much as I would like though.

Liz's question? Whatever the 3 coworkers decide we are eating for dinner. Between a dead cow place and a tex-mex.

Day from Hades over here.

Now it's been three hours with my 6 yr old at the dealership. 3! Ack!

Just broke down and got snacks. Tracked, but still.

N is home before me. Unheard of. Baked ziti thankfully is in the freezer. If we are home by 7:30 I'll be impressed. Way too late for this kiddo with me.

Kat, I vote for Tex Mex. Yum!

Liz, WOW 3 hours, OMG. There is no way Alexa could just sit that long. She would have me walking down the road to do something.

Dinner was left over beef stew, and chips while waiting for it to heat up and a browine. So bad, but it was a bad day, whats done is done.

Kat, I say texmex. OMG that sounds good.

On to the sofa for story time.

Veggie taco salad here! Yum! One of the meals that everyone in the family eats. :goodvibes

Home. Thank you Jesus. no sarcasm there, for reals!

Got the Nike plus! Woo hoo, off to play! Might have to train now!!!!

Jo - I so want a brownie now. Sad to say, your dinner sounds delish to me. Ugh. What an afternoon. On the other hand, my child was exceptionally good. It was me who lost it!:lmao:

Ok, so Meg and Jo--do you have family coming down for race week-end or are you solo? We have to make plans!

We wound up with Tex Mex. Mmmm. When in Rome, you know.

So not good for me though. Sigh. I meant to hit the treadmill today and instead had beer and tacos and queso.

Hopefully tomorrow is better than today.

WOOT on the 8-miler Nancy! Awesome! And OMG, you kicked us all last year with your run/walk combo. If you run the majority of the race this year you will smoke everyone!

Well, here's the thing though. When I did the walk/run combo, my running was at a faster pace, so even with the walks added in I was able to turn in a fairly decent time. Tomorrow I may do an easy recovery run and throw in some walk intervals just to see how the hip flexor feels. While I can feel it tweaking after I hit the 6ish mile mark, once I'm done running and properly stretched I don't seem to have any lingering effect <knocks wood>

Amy - awsome job on the training! :woohoo:

Erika - OMG. Did I say speedy-mc-speedster before? You're cranking!

Jo - great news on the returning of the shoes! I hope the new ones do the trick for you.

Liz - bleh! There are a zillion other ways that I'd prefer to spend my time. Thank goodness Em was a willing participant. Did she go talk to the mechanics? I bet they would have sped things up a bit if she had

and yeah. Now I want a brownie too....:rolleyes1

oh - and I want to know what you think of the Nike Plus!

Kat- ah, the joys of business travel. Hopefully tomorrow is a better day!

Paula - Monday. Any good news for us today?

I'm not going to fight it. I'm having a cookie. Home made, chocolate chip. I'll track it. Pinky swear. :upsidedow

Kat, Yummy Queso!!!!

Meg and I are solo...

I have one tiny issue. My step mother lives in FL, she has stated that they would love to drive up and see me, she asked what my plans were. I have already said my plans are to cross the finishline, eat, nap and hot tub. HA HA HA, I hope that did the trick.

Meg and I both arrive at about the same time on Friday. We are at CBR.

Omg - I truly think the gods were against me today at the gym. Jesse tried to kill me with four sets of everything including weighted step ups from hell and straight leg dead lifts. I am so sore right now and getting up tomorrow does not look like it will be a pleasant experience. I went to do my spinning intervals afterwards and both bikes on the card deck were in use. One by a woman mire concerned with chatting with her bff than actually pedaling. Grrr.....
On the plus side I was down 1/2 pound at JC. I know I am bloated from restaurant food so I am happy with that.

Off to bed for me. Way too tired to do much if anything else.

Ok, so Meg and Jo--do you have family coming down for race week-end or are you solo? We have to make plans!

Solo! EEEK for the first time ever. Usually I'd be all about planning but work has been zapping whatever energy I have in me so I'm really happy to put myself into someone's(Erika's?) hands for planning that weekend. :rotfl: I come in early Friday morning and leave late Monday night.

Sorry off to prepare for my follow up interview tomorrow. If I don't get on the phone with the boy then I'll be back in a bit. Oh and I put pictures on facebook of my weekend for those who use facebook.

Oh no...you don't want me to plan...I do it all at the last minute! :rotfl2:

Great work-out Paula! I have such a crush on Jesse for what he does to you! :lmao:

Nancy--my times have been good, eh? It's been exciting and I have been feeling awesome! But that is over now. I know KNOW that if I keep up this pace I am headed for another stress fracture. So if I am going to add mileage I am going to have to shift it into low gear. My last stress fracture was from increasing speed too much too soon.

Just now watching Biggest Loser. LOVE Hulu!

Good Luck today Meg,

Paula, great job, you have been down 2 weeks in a row now even with the holdiay's I am impressed!

Paula, great on the half pound!

Ladies, do you want to do any Princess plans on thread or off thread? I'm not sure how you feel about it being on the internet. :goodvibes

Also, yeah, the planner is not E! This is where our brain sharing comes in handy. :lmao:

BTW, planning a trip for friends who have not been since the 80's, have 2 kids who have never been (4 and 6) and saved up to do it right - SO MUCH FUN!!!!

Love it! :cool1:
