In search of my body...not the one I ate!

Thanks for the support. I could hit the gym, but the ridicule I would get from DH would be extreme.

I am going to try to do my cardio next week even if I don't eat right, though.

IT IS SNOWING HERE!!! Granted, not sticking, but we don't get snow much in NC.

grumpyyoungguy: what's going on? Is there someone else? Too much estrogen? I should be content that you said goodbye, but...:guilty:

I had decided to leave and start seeing a group of dancing french maids :dance3: but shortly after getting to the other side I realized they didn't measure up to the body board babes.

Back by popular demand ......because all the women here want me :rolleyes1 :rotfl2: :lmao: (just kidding).

In all seriousness...
I have some special :sad2: issues in my life to deal with that had nothing to do with anyone or anything said here. I have been asked back and I have decided to stick around and suck it up. I may not be able to withstand the estrogen levels  though.

WE NEED MORE TESTOSTERONE:laughing:

Announcing MAMABEARJO.....please welcome her as she is a VERY sweet person and needs the help and support of the thread to accomplish her goals.

Thats right ladies we found us another one...before you know it we will OWN the Disney Boards by shear volume :grouphug: :rotfl2:

Okay...so there I was...at my son's hockey game and all of a sudden...I got a call. It was Grumps...he was in a bad way ladies...real bad. It seems that not only did he think the truck stop weigh in was a good idea...he thought that weighing neked on a freeway might give him more wind resistence and less mass on the scale...so a ::cop: showed up after people were seen :scared1: and :magnify: and even a few sickos were :3dglasses while popcorn:: on the side of the road.

It seems that Grumps  got :crowded: after he was frusterated with the scale and decided to  and throw a :badpc: rather than to suck it up...get dressed and move on. He missed with the hammer..and his  got stuck between the scale and the hammer:scared: . He is in the North right now and windshields are -30, so actually the  was more of a :cold: :snail: Thus making it difficult to peel the frozen smushed appendage from the scale. So the ::cop: had to call the :firefight and the jaws of life saved the day.

He is now having to wear a patch like a pirate: and was worried he may have to re-introduce himself as Grumpianna. :scratchin I said we would love him through this embarrassing situation and if he is a 6'6 354.8 woman...we just have more shoe shopping and purses to get! Do you think open toe wedge would be too much???

Seriously...thanks to all of you for the encouragement for Dan...he needed that.:grouphug:

Did the RCMPs just getcha...more importantly were you able to hide the baked goods before they busted in your front door???? :rotfl2: :rotfl:Did you flush them ( I saw that on COPS once):rolleyes1 :cool2:

:rolleyes1 Bad girls bad girls whatcha gonna do...whatcha gonna do when the RCMPs come for you :rolleyes1 :rotfl2: :rotfl:

Ok...so here is a puzzler, query, poser....when Duddley Doright nabs ya for illicit bakery possession with the intent to distrubute, do they handcuff you to the horse's tail....Like in the states we get shoved in the back of the police cruiser ::cop: If so, be careful of the vehicle exhaust  :scared1: :lmao: :rotfl2:

Ok I will come out from behind the computer. My name is Jodi and I have been keeping up with all of you for about a week. I did try to post once, but I messed it up somehow.:confused3

As I said my name is Jodi, I have three wonderful kids, Zac 20, Hanna 16 and Sara 15. Lyle is my husband and we have been married for 21 years but together for 26 if you add the 5 years we dated and lived together.

My weight has been a struggle for about 11 years. I have been a 100 plus for about 7 years. :sad1: My husband is not a very supportive person when if comes to my weight and I have been dealing with that for years. Sadly to say he hates the way I look and it affects us in so many ways.

I am looking forward to reading more about the changes everyone is going through and knowing that there wonderful people:grouphug: out there that understand and don't mind hearing about day to day struggles.

This is new to me so even putting in those little jumping smily faces in the right places is a challenge :yay:

So here I am ready to change and make good choices with the help of some new friends. :thumbsup2

Helloooooooooooooooo everyone!

I, too was dragged back...by DizneyDawn! :lmao: Actually, I posted way back on page 3 or so...and got busy with LIFE...and forgot to come back. But this seems like a great group, so I'd love to stick around more! It meant so much to me that DizneyDawn reached out across the internet to see how I was doing :goodvibes !

Seriously though, here's some info. about me for people who didn't see my earlier post. I'm 24, finished college recently, and now I teach music. It's my first year! It's tons of fun but doesn't leave me much time for me. I had some hard times in college, during which I gained about 100 pounds. Eek! :scared1: Seriously though, I went from being quite active, going to the gym 3-4 times a week, weighing about 150 to somewhat active and weighing 250 in about 2.5 years. I was a music major in college and found myself struggling to compete to stay in the college of music, in practice rooms till all hours of the night...so you can guess where that left time for exercise. Also, looking back, I think that I was depressed and nobody really noticed. Including me, until 2.5 years later when I looked in the mirror and said "Holy Crap!" (can I say crap on the disboards?:confused3 :) ) Oh well!

So...here I am. I know I need to get healthier. I actually just had a great heart to heart with my boyfriend last night, with me kind of outpouring all the difficulties I've had with losing weight. He's gained some weight, too, and actually suggested that we join Weight Watchers together! We have a close friend who lost (and has kept off for about 4 years) 80 pounds doing WW, and I think that might be a good way for us to go now. So... for those of you who have done WW, any advice or opinions (good or bad?)

You all are fun and I hope to be around more. I definitely need the support, and I hope I can support you all, too!

Have a healthy and wonderful Sunday! :wizard:

Erin :)

Dan - Welcome back... the place hasn't been the same without you...

MaMaJoBear - aka Jodi... Welcome!!!! We are all in this together and can help each other in so many ways. Jump right on in... the water is fine...

Hope everyone else is having a great weekend so far... I did a little unexpected clearance shopping today and fit into a smaller pair of jeans than I have been able to wear in a long time... Needless to say I am cloud nine right now...:cloud9: by the way - what is so wrong with cloud 8 or cloud 5,284 for that matter... why does only cloud 9 get labelled as the good one? But I digress...

Have a great night and for you football fans out there GO GIANTS!!!! Gotta love my boys in blue...

Ciao'

grumpyyoungguy! Welcome back. We're here to encourage, so let us know the next time you're melting down.

MamaBearJo and FSUDisneyGirl, WELCOME. For me this has really become a place of accountability. I want my Dawn and Grumpyyoungguy weekly weigh in numbers to be on the downward slide each week. Grumpy - NOYDB - LOVING IT!

OKAY. Here is what I ate for today.

No breakfast. Slept in. Yummy.

Lunch. Subway. I have to say, THANK GOODNESS FOR SUBWAY. I love that place. It's like fast food but easier. Everything is spelled out already. I had a toasted Italian BMT sub (460) and doritos (210? I think) and diet coke.

Dinner. Gorton's garlic & herb fish fillets 2 (230) potato pancake (120) corn on the cob with butter (200) and roasted asparagus and red onion (?) Here's a picture.

It was good. Little over 1200 calories, for the day.

Off to walk on the treadmill. Insert wimpering here.

goof - Smaller jeans. Oh, I am happy (and a little jelous) for you. Can't wait to post the same thing.

Ok I will come out from behind the computer. My name is Jodi and I have been keeping up with all of you for about a week.
Body Babes...she is very funny and she has many good pieces of advice and many stories of me...some not so funny.

Like one weekend at soccer camp..(okay so our girls were in soccer and we just tanned and ate:rotfl2: ) we did actually camp and were at a beach...there was another incident with a tube...fish and a snorkle...Jodi and I ended up beaching ourselves like makarel...there was also an incident involving me and my fat neked self in a shower trying to remove sand from the beaching myself. Do you know where sand goes???:confused3 It goes where ya can get a sand wedgie and if it is sugary sand...it sticks like a  to chocolate fondue.

Mind you this shower was in a public bathroom/shower facility and I was in a shower closest to the open mirror...try to make yourself look hot..it's a campground so get over yourself ladies...section.

Ya ...right there...so while I was excavating and hiring landscapers with plows for sand extraction 101...Jodi was being miss funny pants...threw open the curtain and expected me to be showering in my suit...not the one I got on my :bday: !! The horror I experienced was only exaserbated by her shrieks of laughter and pointing.:scared1: :rotfl2: :lmao:

So now she has me pay for her therapy and I have her pay for my shrubbery design. :rotfl:

I am so proud of your smaller size...I am excited to start shopping in my closet boxes again!!!:woohoo:

grumpyyoungguy! I want my Dawn and Grumpyyoungguy weekly weigh in numbers to be on the downward slide each week. Grumpy - NOYDB - LOVING IT!

Me too!!! I want my weight to start on the downward part of Big Thunder Mountain Railroad so my Splash isn't so big on his friend the Mountain!!:dance3:

Dan - glad you are back! I was catching up from Thursday and was ready to bug you myself until you came back! :goodvibes

Erin and Jodi - welcome (back?)!

Wow this thread was totally inspiring to me tonight! For the last few days we have been with friends...actually since Wednesday night. My BIL and SIL are returning to Ireland where they live so there's been all these food-related events...I swear, it is like the food hurtles itself at me! I did some dodging and just decided to enjoy some things. My extra points (WW) are gone for the week, but hey, it's only 3 more days! I was so excited to drop a point - when you drop a ten pound weight, you lose a point for daily consumption. Yet it's hard to lose that one point and keep on track!

So it's been a bit of junk this weekend, but I haven't gone over my points, which is still a victory. So thank you all for inspiring me for the next three days - I want to do my walking and eat better and have a good weigh in on Wednesday!

Oh, and you know what works for me? If I eat something less than healthy, like pizza, cause let's face it, pizza is going to be part of my life forever, I just start over with the next meal, the next snack. I don't beat myself up over one bad choice, I just move on and remember to make a better choice next time. So thank you for reminding me to do that!:goodvibes

Now if only the Giants would win AND I can stay away from the game-watching food!:cheer2:

Welcome Jodi and welcome back Erin!!

Yay on the smaller size!!! :yay:

We got snow... here is a pic from my patio:

Good Morning Body Searchers!

:welcome: to Jodi and Erin! Erin, I have a DD doing Music at university and this (her 4th year) is the first year she didn't end up in the hospital first semester. And only because she reduced her workload. The stress is E-NOR-MOUS! She's in the concurrent music-education program, trying to determine if she reallly wants to teach. Jodi, if your stories are as funny as some of the others, I'm going to need to order the Depends in a brown paper bag. The bladder isn't what it used to be people....I've had five kids and all. :rotfl:

NJLiz, sounds you have the right mindset-just keep plugging. That's all we can do. Some ups, some downs, some wins, some losses....but you follow football, so you know all that. ;)

I'm with you Dan. I LOVE FOOD PORN! :happytv: BTW, welcome home!

Liz, how did the treadmill go? I really need to get one. We had one that died, but it made so much noise, I couldn't hear my crunching carrots-or the t.v.-when I walked.

Kat, you have more snow than we do right now. It's cold-no freezing-but sunny this morning. I'll take it, because last night I looked out and the sun was still out there at 5:00. What a blessing!

Paula, I can see that smile of yours from here. Well done in the shopping department!

Off to Church to 'fess my sins, ask for guidance, and give thanks for my family and all of my friends. Hugs to everyone. Have a good day!
