In search of my body...not the one I ate!

Hi guys...
I am doing a protein flush today...no carbs and we will hope to have great results tomm....

Made a crockpot chicken/stuffing/mixed veggie concoction for the fammily...I never really know how anything will taste because I just throw stuff together...
5 chicken breasts I already cooked in Buttermilk ranch dressing marinade...a box of chicken stuffing...some Emeril chicken stock..a lil butter..4 chicken boullion cubes....1 1/2 cups water and 1 1/2 cups mixed vegies on top....smells good ...this drives my family nuts...I never make the same thng twice so I never can duplicate their favorite..I should start to write down the receipe as I go...things to do things to do...So when I say 1 1/2 cups...its a gestimate...I eyeball everything...

I hear people talking about sabbatoging and heres a thought..for those of us on the rollercoaster..what would a number be that would be a great starting point for you to say...I have come this far...I want to keep going...

I keep thinking I should take my first chunk of weight to the number 199. If I get there..I think I will be really in good shape to keep going...This means looking at a more doable number which hopefully will be easier than saying screw it..and midnight snacking etc....:scared1:

Soooo....QOD:
What number lost or number on the scale would you be really happy to hit in order to continue the dedication to motivation to lose weight....and if you already have hit it for those who are on the fast track..what was it for you and how did it make you feel?

I'm here. I didn't get home from work until after 10PM. I ate dinner and had some hot tub time.

My day was outright awful. Like, really, really awful. Started with an 8:30AM conference call, and ended with a 9PM upgrade that had to be done in the office. No gym time, barely had a moment off the phone.

So sorry yesterday was awful! I hate those days! Here's hoping today is better. And if not, we can just post mean jokes about the Giant Turd and that might help you laugh a bit...:rotfl2:

Where is everybody today?

I am here now...just back from the gym. 4.1 miles plus some weight training. So what is your E word for the day? EXERCISE would be a great one!

Do you find that this helps? Do you really notice a difference from just one day? Interesting...

I think for me that number would be 135--which is only 5-ish pounds from now. But the reason I think that's a good number for me is because I have been stuck here at 140-143 for soooo long. I need to be solidly in the 30s to feel like I have really started making progress again. Plus, although my dream goal is 120, my "realistic goal" (if that makes sense) is 125...so 135 puts me within the 10-pound-from-goal mark. Theoretically I should be at 135 in a couple of weeks, right? Yeah, that is what I thought about 5 weeks ago...*sigh* I would be ok with my slow progress if I knew I was cheating or if I was slacking on workouts, etc. But I am really doing everything right and it is just not working for me. Even when I fell victim to the minions the other day...I counted the points/calories and made up for it later in the day.

My mom thinks that I ought to have my thyroid checked. She says she has never seen anyone who is doing everything right and still not lose weight. What do you think? (Yes, I am 38 and still ask my mother for advice. :lovestruc We moved her and my dad up here 5 years ago and now they are just 2 miles down the road.) My thoughts are that I just screwed my body up so badly from being on-again-off-again with South Beach for so many years and it is just going to take some time for my body to readjust itself to more balanced eating.

... I had an aweful day with law firms. I'm really struggling. In such a haze. I am terrified though strong at the same time. I think it is survival mode. I pray my kids stay safe and that I'll work again somewhere. May not be a school.

 I am so sorry! You and your family are in my thoughts. I really hope things start to improve for you soon.

I was thinking of getting braces to match him...but he says if I do...he will cry..(ok..shh..come closer...yesterday..on the radio...he called a station...(they were talking about pure animal instinct attraction for men...some guys said ponytails on their wives, certain colors...etc...) he said it was my smile...COULD I HAE BOUGHT A BETTER MAN???

:goodvibes You 2 are too cute!

Okay, I know I just posted, but I want to show you all my new haircut!
[/IMG]

Very pretty!! I can really see the change in the shape of your face. You look great!

For me it is the taste of raspbery jelly on my tongue...I tell ya it's pure sin...it also leads to other sins...that do not involve cookies or green sashes..but you should be able to earn badges for..:rotfl2:

:lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl:

Things are starting to get back to normal at the NYS Capitol. Looks like we will have a new Governor on Monday. Me and my sign company will be ready to implement the changes....

Have a great night everyone...

Goof

That is good to hear. I hope things aren't too insane for you at work. Though, from the sounds of it you are swamped!

I could not do your job! Here's to a better day today.

Wow, you guys really post alot during one day... I can't keep up ha! ha!
It's been really hectic at work and when I get home, some days I only have time to eat and then I'm off to meetings ect... It's March madness and I feel it ha! ha!

But too tired that I cheat and eat junk food while relaxing in front of the tv for 1 hour before bed... I have to keep that under control... ha! ha!
What to do????

I know!!! It takes me an hour to catch up every morning! I am glad to see you are still with us.

My mom thinks that I ought to have my thyroid checked. She says she has never seen anyone who is doing everything right and still not lose weight. What do you think? You really should have it checked. I have been on thyroid meds since June of last year. It takes forever to get the dosage right. In fact I just picked up new drugs yesterday. I am really close to the normal range and am still losing really slowly. I go weeks without losing anything. My doctor said it is really difficult to lose when you have hypothyridism. Even after you are regulated. Apparently, it is really common for it to show-up after you have had children. Something else I can blame on my kids. :lmao: Speaking of which, does your mommy bladder give you a hard time when you run? I am having a really difficult time with that little issue...:scared:

Well I still ask my Mommy for adivce ;)

I am 36 and had my thyroid checked as well. I work my hiney off and nothing happened. My thyroid was just over a little and the meds did help with things like waking up in the morning, but nothing with my weight loss. I think my hormones are messed up because both of my kids were IVF babies and I took a ton of different hormones for that. And I also wasn't eating enough. My caloric intake was around 1200 and with working out I wasn't going anywhere. It is so frustrating!

I am starting to move a little now that I am on WW and trying to eat even healthier.

I would suggest having your thyorid checked though, if you aren't moving at all. You never know what is going on until they do the little test

I think I've been fairly good about not cheating but I think 199 and I'd be super motivated... I'm just sooo sick of being in the 200s... its slow but I'm getting there.

In other news I broke through the stupid 222 plateau and got from 222.6 to 221.2 today! Hopefully it doesn't creep back on... LOL! I did 50 minutes at the gym last night all on the elliptical... 539 calories burned!!! Tonight I think I am going to do 35 and then some strength training... Not sure tho... either way I'm going to the gym... hehe  I hope everyone is having a good day!

Sarah

Great job with your workout Sarah!

I just got your postcard today! Thanks! It totally made my day...I am in a funk thinking of weigh in tomorrow and seeing the scale stay the same yet again! Needed the boost!

Well, today is better than yesterday.

First of all, it is currently 75 degrees. I hijacked the convertible and drove in with the top down (it was 60 then but I didn't care!). My morning was uneventful, I made it to the gym (45 min on arc trainer), and I got to drive there and back when it WAS 70s. :)

Heather I hope that your day is better.

Erika, I think that your body is getting used to WW and to the amount of running that you are doing. I would still have everything checked out, though.

Sarah, congrats on breaking that 222 barrier. I will keep my fingers crossed that tomorrow gets closer to have a '9' in the number!

Nat, I know that I am a night snacker. Therefore I save about 100-200 calories for the end of the day... I use them in a glass of wine, a bag of 94% ff popcorn, raw veggies and ff onion dip, a 100-cal pack of cupcakes, a 100 cal ice cream, that kind of thing. It

I am mercifully free of satan's minions. Honestly I am really not much of a sweets person... half a 100 cal ho-ho is enough for what little bit of a sweet tooth I occasionally get. It is Ruffles, and cheetos, and such that are really satan's minions for me. That and full-calorie beer, margaritas, sour apple martinis...

My e word for today... Excessive. And it is an e-word to AVOID. Moderation in all things.

And my number is 169. At 169 I will feel like I am making real progress. I wanted to get there last year and stopped at 172 before backsliding.

Current weight as of this AM was 178.2. Here's to hoping I get back to that 177ish I saw Monday.... (which of course, was fleeting)

OH, I forgot one thing... I came home last night and I was wearing a thin sweater (I usually wear a bulky sweatshirt at home). I gave Mr Kat a hug and he was like, wow, you are getting skinny, I can feel ribs!

And he has lost 19 lbs!

Thanks for the info, I was thinking it was much easier for me to loose weight before I had my daughter.

I agree - the thyroid check is very easy if you are not afraid of needles. I have been switched to Armour instead of Synthroid, supposed to have fewer side effects. Would you believe I can't remember to take it! I've been on the med for 10 years and I forget it.

Thanks Again! Helps to know it isn't ALL my fault :-)

PS - I had two Thin Mints last night after my popcorn dinner. Then sort-of got sick. Now I don't even want to try another one. I think I'm cured!!

Omg, that's so cute! Go, Mr. Kat! :cheer2:

I have had a craptastic day. Tired. Sick. Internet not working!!!:scared1: That has got to be the worse part. Mr. SeptGirl is taking me to get my iPhone tonight - I wanted to wait until I hit goal but he can see that I'm down in the dumps over this, and I think he wants to encourage me. Now I can read the DIS from everywhere! As God is my witness, I'll never go DIS-less again! (Anyone?)

I know it's soooo silly to be upset over 1.6 down. I know. I just feel tired and ready for vacay and those Minions attacked me last night and I gave in! And then I banished them. Seriously, I will write the Girl Scouts monthly checks just to keep those things out of my house.

I'm over spring in NJ. I want to be in FL!!!

What letter are we on? G? Gratitude? I am grateful for all of you. I am grateful my size 18 jeans are too big. I am grateful for all my weight loss. I am grateful the Minions are out of my house. :rotfl:

G is for generosity which is what I find from each of you..your wisdom...your input...your experience and so much more. I hope I leave this world giving generosity in more ways than with a dollar. I also hope I learn to give generous amounts of forgivenss to myself.

Hey...if you have weighed in this month...start pming me so I can get a head start on the numbers....
I am heading with Grumps to Omaha for the weekend so we will probably get the posts done Sat sometime...does anyone want postcards from Omaha???:rotfl2: I mean there are some redemming qualities.;)

Sorry to hear about Crapfest. But YAY for your iPhone. I am getting the iPod Touch soon...same thing...I can DIS anywhere! :cool1: I am a gadget junkie, so I have been really good to wait so long. I think having it be my "goal gift" from DH sounds good...I'll have to work on that! :rotfl:

I love your G word! You are doing so well! I am so proud of you!

Glad you guys are going to have some together time. I know that has been tough to come by in the past year. I won't be able to PM you my weight until tomorrow afternoon, but you'll hear from me.

And heck yeah, I'll take a postcard from Omaha! If for no other reason than my DH saying..."Why the hell are you getting a postcard from Omaha???" :rotfl2: :lmao:

I have a loooong night ahead of me. Conferences with clients in Asia, so I have to be on their time. I will be up till 1-ish....and popping in and out as I get breaks....

DizDawn - You dont look ANYTHING like I imagined - you're a fox!! And your grumpyyoungguy - not so grumpy! You both look so cute and happy!

Thanks honey...I really appreciate that...what did you expect me to look like though????
Perhaps.....
