Now about my trip. Way back in when this thread started I mentioned we were going to Orlando for the International Builders Show in February. The Food Network show Mission Impossible was going to tape and I had the opportunity to buy tickets. Remember? Is any of this coming back?
Well guess what! IT's FEBRUARY! And I am not ready. (So here I sit typing.
)
I fly down on Tuesday (12th) after dropping the 4yr old to preschool. I am meeting DH there who is coming from El Paso, where he is working.
The Itenary is locked and loaded:
Tuesday evening, Magic Kingdom with dinner at The Plaza. (This is probably our fav restaurant.)
Wednesday the show starts, DH and an employee are heading to the show. I am going to go to the outlet mall. LOVE that Disney Outlet! and I am going to resort hop. I decided I wanted a puffy magnet from everywhere I have stayed, so I am going to make the rounds.
Evening, together to the Boardwalk for entertainment and dinner somewhere.
Thursday, while DH is at the show, I am going to World Showcase & DTD. I love taking my time shopping and he is not so into that.
Evening, DTD. We have never really gone to PI. Kids and all. We are going to the Comedy Warehouse and maybe Adventurers Club. DH loves staged comedy, but we don't really drink so I'm not sure about AC. Essencially, we are going to a bar and that's awkard when you're not used to it. KWIM? Fish outta water here.
FridayAnimal Kingdom morning touring. Epcot for evening touring. Dinner at The Land. Thinking about "Behind the Seeds" Tour.
SaturdayMGM, err I mean Hollywood Studios for the day and whatever we want to do Saturday night.
Sunday we fly out of Orlando bright and early as the Daytona 500 is Sunday afternoon. I am going to El Paso with him for a couple days and then flying home on Wednesday the 20th.
I have the BEST MIL in the whole wide world. She is coming to take over my family life for 9 days. While working too. The girls are so excited. And then we don't have to kennel our dog either. (She always willing to stay with them. We've been able to go alot of places because of her. I hope I am that kind of mom to my girls.)
We are staying at the Grand Floridian. This is alot of stress to me. We really can't affort to stay here any old day of the week. But we got a better price thru HBA then we ever could on our own. Our goal is to "stay" at every Disney Resort. We don't have the kids and we are only there for 5 days instead of 10, so it all makes sense, but I know we should be booked at POFQ.
I did not book the Mission Impossible Lunch, because my time by myself is so precious, I didn't want to lock it away.
